Daiso Japan

I just tried to return 2 items to Daiso at Sunnybank Hills that I purchased less than a week ago. I was told that I could not get a refund, only an exchange. I was annoyed about this but accepted it. So I quickly grabbed 2 other items that I didn’t need but thought I might get use of one day. The two items that I purchased were Christmas items that were 20% off, so I picked 2 other Christmas items to replace those that I was returning. When the exchange was getting processed the lady charged me the full price for the 2 Christmas items I was exchanging for so I had to pay the 20% extra. So not only do they not give you refunds, the exchanges aren’t simple exchanges either. I pointed out that I was exchanging 2 Christmas items for 2 Christmas items and she said that the 20% off sale had finished so I had to pay full price.
I have been a loyal customer to this store and I feel really ripped off even though it was only a few dollars.
Moral to the story is DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE UNLESS YOU ARE SURE THAT YOU WANT IT as you can’t get a refund, and even the ‘exchanges’ are dodgy. I hope the extra couple of dollars that they squeezed out of me today was worth receiving a bad review. I am really turned off from shopping here in the future.

Always good variety but ridiculous policy. First can't refund if you bought in different store, that means you have to go back to Sydney from Brisbane if you bought something there. Second no refund after one month and must exchange which is ok, so purposely asked if I can exchange again if still not suitable. Store keeper promised to be a YES but was rejected by store manager after few explained will not change again and saying that her staff was incorrect and will provided further training. Had no choice but left the shop furiously. It's only a $3.10 product and you have a very unhappy customer. I won't say I will not be back but definitely not for a while.

I love this place. I can find the kookiest and most unusual things here that I never knew I needed! Their stock levels were noticeably low, but that’s to be expected with the supply chain issues for most businesses.
Unfortunately, this time, I was not able to get what I wanted.

Their price structure has gone up from almost every item being $2.80 to $3.10. Again, understandable in the current climate.

Would continue to support them.

Sharing the same floor with Kmart, Coles, Australia post, friendly and polite staff, I asked twice for different products but lady left the counter and guided me. Reasonable price and variety of stuff.

My favourite budget store, it has some incredible products that only the Japanese would think of.
Everything in store costs 2.80.it works on the concept that it makes less profit on some items and more on others so that a healthy average is maintained. If you know your values you will score everytime. Best value items include travel goods, garden containers and basins.

Daiso has an ever changing wide variety of merchandise. It is always interesting to see what is new in store! It can lead to big spends though and there is so much neat stuff.

I wasn't blown away by the variety after hearing so much about this place. Didn't find anything of much use to me and I didn't find the store's layout to be all that intuitive.found a few products that were amusing at the time but nothing I really needed.

They have great products from Japan and some very unique ones as well. Great place to shop for a variety of things.

One of the larger Daiso stores in the area. A lot bigger than the one at Sunnybank Plaza. Good variety of stock and friendly staff. The aisles here are wide enough to accommodate a double wide pram throughout the store without stress. Nice easy access.

Well be careful when you make purchase in that store. I bought a batttery clock there which is not working so I brought it back advised that its a broken one I would like refund. Then store manager asked me why is broken? Excuse me isnt this the question I need ask you store? !

Just had terrible experience. One of your staff was so rude and she didn't wrap my pot, she just messing the paper with the pot and she even ask me to put the basket back to the entrance.

Terrible terrible experience. Won't come back.

Always enjoy a good stroll through Daiso. Lots of variety and unique items for home, car or work.
