Cross butchers were our favourite butchers in town, meat was unreal and amazing quality. However the last few times the meat has began to taste off even when cooking it on the same day fresh. Purchased pork on one occasion that tasted foul and premium rib eye on another occasion and one steak tasted off and the other too chewy to eat for the price. Perhaps not being kept at a cold enough temperature?

Our family was passing through as visitors to Lake Tinaroo, we were recommended to stop into Cross Custom Meats as we wanted to cook up a nice hearty dinner.

First impressions were welcoming with lovely service, very reasonable prices for the quality of meats we selected: Marinated chicken, thick beef rissoles, Italian sausages and Waygu Steak. All very delicious! You can taste the quality with no fillers and so much taste to every bite.

Amazing shop, I have never seen so much meat in one place before! Sausages are delicious and meat is very good quality.

We Travel Around Oz and when we get a chance to buy local we do. This has been by far one of the best butchers we have come across. Every single cut we got from sausages to steak has just been fantastic to say the least. We bought quite a bit just wish the fridge was big enough for more. Thankyou so much will definitely visit you again. (With a bigger freezer)

I only bought a bag of dog bones. Because they were frozen I could not see the size of the bones. After defrosting them I discovered the bones were huge. I don't think my dog will be able to manage them. We will see. Not very economical for me.

We had an amazing ribs here! Such a great butcher, highly recommend it. The best ribs I've ever had. The T-bone steak was very nice too.

Absolutely recommend. Stopped here on caravan drive through town heading to Darwin. Loaded up on chicken a steak and sausages. Only wished we bought more cause we have not seen a butcher shop like it since. And, very friendly young staff. I’m sure this place will be successful for many years to come. Thx!

Just went to buy meat from this shop for the first time, I can say that Cross Custom Meats is the best meat I have ever bought in Australia. Their customer service is absolutely wonderful and price is great too. I will definitely be coming back to buy from you.

The shop is very well presented. It has everything that you could want and all the meat is of high quality. The products are all very competitive in pricing as well. I have found my new favourite shop and would recommend it to everyone especially vegans, it would change their minds about meat.

Bought some sausages, chicken Wellington’s, crumbed mackerel and chicken stir fry.
This place has everything and the herb sausages and chicken Wellington’s are my favourite so far. Going back for more in the next week or so
