Cowch Dessert Cocktail Bar

Very expensive for the quality of food. Service staff spilled every drink down the sides that we ordered on their way over to us.

An unkempt, disorganised disaster. Used plates will be left unattended on tables for hours without being taken away. Service is painfully slow, but don’t worry, the obnoxiously loud music projected from communal speakers will keep you entertained! The entire establishment is quite trashy overall. Sorry, but I shall never return.

I always look forward to Cowch when I visit Brisbane. Unfortunately this time I was bitterly disappointed. For starters one of the paper menus we were given was torn with a portion of the menu missing. Another menu was soiled with old food encrusted on it.
The young staff were inexperienced and unhelpful. They appeared to be disinterested in their customers and unaware of aspects of the menu.
The Winter Warmers Choc Caramel Waffle was not up to expectations, but the Fruit Tingle Crepes were delicious as would be expected at a cost of $22.99. The Choc Vegan Sundae was very average and not worth the $19.99. The chocolate sauce that accompanied the Sundae solidified at the bottom of the bowel and was extremely difficult to break with a spoon. We ended up not eating it as we struggled to break the chocolate. The Classic Pina Colada and Whiskey Sour cocktails were good but the Hot Chocolate should be renamed ‘Lukewarm’ Chocolate.
I was dismayed at the limited dairy-free options. Considering it is 2023 and Brisbane is a city with a population over 2.5million. South Bank is an international tourist destination and dietary requirements should be given greater thought. I will not be visiting the Cowch South Bank again.

Omg i loved it.service was super slow, but drinks were wow. My favourites were Raf-hello and mamgo ice cream.

We ordered a Nutella pizza, Choc-Peanut Butter shake, Mad Hatter Cocktail and an Asahi beer. Only thing worth buying from there was the beer, and that’s because they don’t make it.

The pizza base was disgusting, the Nutella sauce was dry, the choc-peanut butter shake was bland and the Mad Hatter cocktail can only be described as sweet for sweets sake, none of the flavours in the description were present. At two slices of the pizza, drank two sips of the milkshake, and had a glass of the cocktail. Spent around $55 and the only thing worth it was the $9 beer.

It was also so hot inside that even the staff were uncomfortable, one exclaiming that it was even worse behind the counter in front of all the hot machinery.

Shared a Crunchy Caramel sundae with mates and it was delicious! Rhys was super friendly and helpful. I would give him five stars too if I could.

We did the mocktail making class here with Georgia - was a lovely experience and Georgia was very attentive and fun! Great value for money.

Had a great time. Fast service and friendly staff. Our dessert was served by Ben (Reed), who went far above and beyond to ensure we were well-accommodated and comfortable.

We were specifically looking to be seated at a table that was recently vacated and, without missing a beat, he swiftly cleared and cleaned the table, right before our food was promptly served.

This is all without mentioning that the gelato was fantastic, and the late closing time meant we were able to squeeze in a quick treat just before midnight.

I used to get my coffee from Cowch South Bank until last Tuesday. I went there around 8: 00pm and ordered a large long black (take away). Firstly, I have waited longer than expected (just a long black). Also, as far as I remember their price was $5.50 and they have recently increased it to $6.49 for a large long black. Also the guy has prepared a large long black with just 2 shots. When I asked him, he said that for the large long black, they prepare it with 2 shots. However, on their demo cups, it states that 3 shots for large coffees (2 shots for medium, 1 shot for small). I spent $6.49 and lots of time just for a water with insufficient coffee in it.
Unfortunately I am quite disappointed, and will never go there again.

Delicious, quick service. Served by a young friendly Scottish (?) gentleman named Rhys. He was very accomodating to an elderly couple like us. My wife liked his Corona earring. He told us a charming tale of his newly adopted kitten. 11/10 chat.

The best time tonight celebrating with a friend. The staff were all incredibly lovely, a massive should out to Cara with a C who offered to sing us happy birthday despite no birthday and in general went above and beyond the normal level or service. Also, apologies to Rhys, as I nearly knocked the drinks out of your hand while singing Taylor Swift. All in all, I would do this again. Bless.

Now I'm not one to throw one stars around lightly but really.
This was as unimpressive as it gets.
When I head out for a desert at a premium price I would expect a premium product.
Unfortunately this was underwhelming at best.
Quality of ingredients was pretty low and overly sugary.
I would have felt more satisfied buying an ice cream and a block of chocolate from the local convenience store and for the same price i would have had desert for 2 nights.
There were crumbs on the seat from the previous diner and the servers asked a number of time if someone else's order was mine. If you want a real ice cream head to messina.

Rhys was such a lovely waiter and they were so nice. The food was so unhealthily delicious. Everyone there was understanding of my disability and ensured I didn't need to apologise. (I have tourette syndrome)

Food and drinks were awesome and Cara was a 10/10, I would recommend you put aircon in though cause it’s bloody hot

My first visit at Cowch did not disappoint thanks to the amazing Rhys!

It was long overdue for me to experience the wonders of Cowch and my night only really begun when we were greeted by the charismatic and instantly loveable Rhys at the entrance. My friends and I were surfing a post-dance-class high and anyone else might have thought we were drunk, but Rhys handled us like pros and matched our goofy energy with as much glee as professionalism

He made sure all of our sweet desserty needs were met and double checked that our lactose intolerant needs were met so as to avoid a catastrophic, chaotic, and cataclysmic event from taking place in public not too dissimilar to the scene in Bridesmaids

Rhys was super friendly and truly made all of us laugh all throughout the night. He was a good sport with our borderline obnoxious behaviour including us performing a quick dance number to one of the songs - we received applause from the other patrons to our utter delight and were glad we weren't impacting anyone's experience in a negative way! (who doesn't love dinner and a show!)

All in all, it was the best Tuesday night I've had in a long time and there was something honestly so magical about our experience at 10pm on a midweek night with the pouring rain! I felt like I had known Rhys for years and my friends and I left feeling totally invigorated and revitalised from the experience! 11/10 would recommend!
