Community Grounds Cafe reviews
21Great spot for a light lunch. Excellent coffee. Lovely ambience appreciate local artists showcased.
Very friendly service.
The coffee was too bitter for my taste, the shot a little overcooked with the extraction too fine for the blend.
My.coffee was served in a paper cup although I wanted to sit inside. I'm unsure if all their coffees are served in paper cups but I prefer a mug if I'm sitting in a cafe. I wasn't asked if I wanted takeaway.
Food looks ok with a simple basic menu and a few purchased cabinet cake options.
The venue seemed to be drenched in darkness on a sunny Saturday morning.
Very weird lighting.
I liked their ethos tho.
ACCESS ️there's a step up into the cafe providing poor access for all abilities. Those on wheels? If you get in, there are high bar style seating and a few couches. The only other option is to be seated outside of the cafe.
NEURODIVERSE the dark lighting would probably be appreciated by those with light sensitivity. It's intimate and there's no blaring music.
What a gem for a galloping gourmet coffee lover!
We knew it was a winner with the first sip. Dedicated cafes with a good focus mainly on coffee are your best chance to get the nectar of life made with love and care. This one is with a diversion from the highway.
The people keeping up the local cafe in a helpful way, good coffee or tea just the thing for me. And book swap two.
Sick of this place, we try to support this community organization, service is always hit and miss and like today on a Friday not even open, time to start running this professionally or get out of this business altogether.as customer who has spent several years spending money here ism not impressed…I am also sick of businesses using “Covid” as an excuse…. Long term this training model is unsustainable especially if the trainees, after getting qualified, are unable to gain full employment within the business that supported them in their training! If this was sustainable the cafe would be open 7 days a week with longer opening times, and make more $
Friendly Service, Quality Food, Great Prices.
Our Country drive to the Lockyer Valley will always include a visit to this place.
Great principle and purpose, great coffee, family friendly and real community. Recommend a visit.
Amazing initiative. The staff here so friendly. Coffee and food delicious.
Will definitely enjoy again!
Delicious coffee and super cute cafe with a little book swap. Will be back when we pass through again
My place to go in Laidley when I need coffee or light lunch. Coffee is the best town and the foods pretty darn good too. If you haven’t already tried it I totally recommend you have your next coffee date, lunch date with friends there. Almost forgot service is excellent too.
Nice spot, reasonable coffee. Didn't try food as I was looking for breakfast menu but didn't have many options for breakfast.
Reasonable coffee, friendly staff but should do something about the noisy and vibrating floor.
This people keeping up the local cafe in a helpful way, good coffee or tea just the thing for me.
Excellent service, great long black and a cappicino with scrumpy toasted sandwiches followed by guilty cakes. The exhibit today (sat 7th Nov) was of indigenous art work so plenty to look at whilst refuelling. Further enhanced by two of the artists being there a mother and daughter combo. Chatted for an hour with them but it seemed like 5minutes. We'll done CGCafe an excellent example of multiuse and very enjoyable fare.
This place is absolutely splendid! The place is classy and sleek, their food is off the chart; very delicious! Coffee is good and service is the best!
A great little Community Cafe teaching kids work experience. Food and especially Coffees are wonderful, and importantly, reasonably priced. A lovely atmosphere. Good to hear it is open Saturdays. Well done.
Good coffee here. Resisted temptation, but sweet treats looked great too, and very reasonably priced.
Great place to sit in and check out some local artwork or grab a takeaway coffee when you're on the go.
We waited for about 25 minutes for our drink orders. My coffee tasted like there wasn't any coffee in it. My friend ordered a Chocolate Milkshake and was given a Vanilla milkshake
Very popular and very clean
Service was great and so were the coffee and pie
Unfortunately we arrived when the staff were doing a pie cook up so limited choice of pies
it's that popular they cannot keep up
A top country town bakery and cafe.
Laidley has that old world charm about it the central town area still containing mainly Queenslanders surrounding the town and whilst quite modern in it's shopping mix has managed to keep its old world charm.
Laidley has joined the 21st Century and not destroyed it's architecture manners and charachter and is truely worth a visit to witness success in a community that is embracing the world as it's exists and not selling it's soul out.
Well done the entire town - incredibly done and if you don't realize Laidley is and entry into the scenic rim world class zone
And worthy of a week or more relaxing in the country one hour from the CBD of Brisbsne
