City Beach

Went to buy multiple things from the store and lined up to be served. I was first in line and staff didn’t serve me, they were too distracted by having chats behind the counter. After 10/15mins of waiting I ended up putting my clothes back and didn’t end up buying anything.

Going off all the previous reviews and response from City Beach this will possibly go nowhere but we'll see.
The staff here are unprofessional and poorly trained in every aspect of retail business.
I was looking for a new wallet and after going through the extensive range hanging on the wall my partner found some in a display case at the registers, on request to a staff member to show me a few different styles the guy sighed all because he had to open a cabinet.
He pointed to the wall and said "couldn't you have looked over there"
Well City Beach my money was the correct colour at another surf shop.
Do yourself a favour and shop elsewhere

Rude staffs at the counter, not helpful or friendly at all. It might be way too hard for them to say hi, or thank you, or even smile.

I would love to Give the Highest Review to the Beautiful Bella that works in city beach Surfers paradise.
She helped me so much, such kind amazing customer service.

Seems nothing has change going thru all the other reviews.
Never have been treated to poorly by staff in any store.
Was told twice to not try on clothes as my friend and I were "wet". Our hair was damp but because we were still wearing bikinis this automatically meant we were ruining clothes we were then followed all around the shop as tho we were thieves. Then abruptly stopped after purchasing our goods for the security to thoroughly go thru out bags.
Disgusting management, not worth the visit.

Edit: your reply is absolutely pathetic. Clearly passing this onto the management team isn't working considering all the other complaints made.

This was not an inconvenience. More so harrasment, I was advised by one of the team members it was the management team who advised them to approach us. Being watched and stalked throughout the store was over the top. Perhaps new management in your store would be a start rather sending the same messages over and over again.

I’ve never done a review in my life but the staff in this store are absolutely vile.
I visited this store with my sister in-law to buy new swim suits and had tried a few on. Moments later a young girl with darker skin and a lighter skin girl had come up to both of us advising us to not try on the clothes because we were wet and would destroy the clothes. First of all, the shop is right across the road from the beach, we both had washed all the sand of ourself and made sure we were as dry as we could. None of the suits I tried on were wet besides the floor as my feet were still wet. The one that I did wet I had in my hand as I would buying it. If they would have pulled us aside and let us know nicely, we would have understood however their attitude was disgusting and the darker girl proceeded to keep an eye on me and follow me around the shop as if I was attempting to steal or misbehave. All the girls in there were extremely unprofessional and need to either be replaced with people who actually know how to serve their customers or provide more training on how to not make their customers feel uncomfortable. Other then that the fella that served me at the register was great, your ladies should take some notes.

Nice thongs and staff member gave me a special price that was for online only much appreciated saved on postage very helpful and friendly staff

All I can say is amazing. Great customer service from Jessie and she helped me find the perfect fit for a particular outfit even though I have quite the strange build.
Usually I would never write reviews but after today I just had to write a review.

I used to love this city beach but when I left after buying some clothes today, the buzzers at the entrance went off which I totally understand because these things always happen. But this time a staff member (asian ethnicity, big long lashes, was on the men’s level on April 10th Sunday 8: 00pm) strutted up to us scowling and snatched my shopping right off my hands, making me seem like a thief and without even looking at me or acknowledging the fact that their buzzer already went off once before we got there so maybe we weren’t the problem there or at least tell me what was happening before taking my shopping bags off me. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting and told me to “Stay there. No. Don’t move. ” “Go. ” Excuse me? I am your customer, not your dog. Is this seriously how staff members are trained? This is my first time writing a review after many visits with different experiences with staff members and I have let it go every single time because I thought they still might be in training but my experience today has been the worst one yet. I hope I will never see this staff member ever again until someone can teach her basic manners and how to smile. I understand there are technical difficulties and some people may not be having the best day but this girl does not know how to politely communicate with customers. Awful customer service.

Absolutly disgusting staff! I asked about a skirt I found on the sale rack only for the worker to take it from me and say no that wasn't meant to be there then placed it in the back. I walked around a little before I decided I would buy it anyway, I asked her where they were in store where she replied she would find out, in the mean time I had another rude worker approach me and tell me one of the staff seen my daughter put a piece of jewellery down her pants (my daughter is 3) I then felt obliged to check my daughter in front of her, which I did and I said there is nothing down her pants, all for the worker to say its no big deal but my staff did see her, I repeated there was nothing down her pants and shes 3 years old, she doesnt understand the concept. She just looked down on me so rudely. Mind you my daughter had jewellery in her hand that I was purchasing for her. I then felt as if the staff were following me around the store and still hadn't found the skirt I had asked for. I eventually took the skirt from the worker only to realise there was NO WAY I was spending my money in that store after being treated the way I was.

I don’t usually write reviews but my experience was so bad at the Surfer’s Paradise store! The two girls that were working on Friday are lacking in customer service skills as they are rude, inattentive and extremely slow. The younger boy at the front door had less of an idea where things were but at least he tried to assist us and spent his time to ensure customers were directed to the right area. One girl spent over 5 minutes looking for a shoe that was missing from the box while she had the other pair (display pair) in her hand the whole time.it was obviously the last pair in the store, hence why it was heavily discounted. After all that, upon looking at the receipt once I left I realised I had been ripped off but the last thing I wanted was to go back into that store. I wish I spent my money somewhere else.

Would love to take a shout out to zoey at city beach surfers paradise! She presented really great customer service to my friend and I. Was super lovely! We always have had great service at this city beach!

Don’t bother shopping here, unless you like to met with a grunt and no smile. I wanted to purchase some thongs (price as a sale tagged at $19.95) however, they came up as $49.95. I didn’t catch her in time and the purchase went through. I picked her up on it, she looked at her team member next to her and they both rolled their eyes. They then argued with me that it was incorrect, but as I always say “there’s a way to speak to someone” and the way I was spoken to was horrible and quite frankly embarrassed me as others listened on. I will NOT be returning to this store. So disappointed and upset.

The women that work there are extremely rude, would rather be on their phone then serve. Disgraceful behaviour. Get new staff

Just walked in and had some amazing service by the girls in there, also had no problem matching city beach online prices.

The staff are so disinterested it’s not funny especially the tall blonde girl I like the store itself but that’s it

Just bought a cap from here. Girl at the counter (tall blonde) tried to cheat my wife by adding extra 10$. When she pointed at the mistake the girl only made annoyed grimace. No “sorry”, no “thank you”. Terrible and rude customer service. Do not recommend

We were booked into another place and arrived to a horrible dirty apartment. Rang Q1 they gave us great advise to get our money back and gave us a room at a discount because Of all we went through. The apartment was amazing views, clean and the amenities were A1.
The staff were lovely. They saved our holiday and can’t wait to come back.
