City Beach - Carindale

I visited this store today and the customer service was absolutely appalling. I was getting harassed by the employees accusing me of shoplifting when I went to go leave the store their was two workers there at the entrance/exit area and asked in a rude manner if they could check my bags and I said “ yes” as I have nothing to hide so the lady at the front took my bags out of my hands and went through the products I bought without my consent and I felt uncomfortable with her touching my property as I did only agree for them to check through the bags they didn’t even bother to ask me if they could actually touch my bag and I said something to them how it was wrong of them doing that and the worker just looked at me and ignored what I said and continued to proceed going through my bag. Also I had a billabong beach bag in my possession and I completely forgot I had it in my hand so when she asked me that she wanted to check my bags I deeply apologised about the billabong beach bag in my hand I completely didn’t realise and as I kept explaining to the two staff members they both continued to accuse me of stealing the bag and they found some tags in the change rooms I changed in and accused me of stealing it when they saw my receipt and saw that everything was bought and there was nothing in my bag, the left over stuff was in the change rooms I just left it there and than she proceeds to accuse me of having stolen goods on my body and was upset about the fact she wasn’t allowed to body search me. So I was getting upset and told her to also open the billabong beach bag to prove I didn’t steal anything or even put nothing in there so she did open it and saw that there was an extra bag of the same product in there, so her and the other employee just said “ no I don’t believe you I know you were stealing these.do not come back to this store again” and I kept trying to defend my innocence so I said to them to check the camera so they could see that I didn’t even open the billabong beach bag I was gonna put it back and I completely forgot I had it in my hands. I kept expressing my remorse of how I didn’t mean to walk out with that and they laughed with each other and was very rude to me and my partner at the door, she said “ I’m not buying it don’t ever come back to this store ever again” and so did the other staff member there. Also we were waiting a long period of time in the line when there was only one customer infront of us and even when we were getting served she prolonged scanning and there was a few workers on shift and the lady serving us was the only employee on the registers. Overall the customer service was disgusting and something needs to be done about this.

I had to wait in line for 25 mins along with 30 other people. There were 3 staff at counter, 2 serving and 1 girl doing nothing but folding stock. I raise it with the girl at the counter that perhaps getting through the queue with all staff working might be a better customer experience. She goes all feral explaining they have to manage stock. Seriously take some basic 101 customer training and you also stuffed up my return with no funds hitting by account after 2 days! Seriously hopeless store and I will never shop there again

Went to carindale store today, lined up for a ridiculous time considering there was 2 people in front of me.i then get to the register and he tells me i have to re-line up to pay with cash at a different register. There was NOT one sign saying this.lol

Absolutely horrible. Staff were extremely rude because when you try to try on thier hats they make you feel like a thief because they remove the security tag and make you try it on in front of them and when you are ready to buy it they put the tag back on. Horrible

Excellent customer service from all the staff. Was greeted by Kobe who help me find the correct sized boogie boards and even went above and beyond to take it up too the counter while I kept looking around. Overall a great experience. Will definitely be back.

Please change your incorrect opening hours to 10am Sunday so people aren’t waiting for half an hour with frozen groceries for your store to open.

Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. The store was really busy owing to the Xmas rush and several staff members offered help, assisted with a goods return and replacement, and were polite, professional and friendly throughout the visit. Well done City Beach Carindale

We have shopped here regularly for several years as it has a lot of what we need with three sons but I’m always underwhelmed by the service. It’s either long queues or sullen staff! Reading the previous comments surely there’s something that management can do to give the place a lift!

I was at carindale yesterday for my birthday, i went to city beach the the lady serving us was horrible i walked out of the shops checked my bag and one of the iteams were missing.i walked back in went to the same lady to kindly ask if she forgot to put it in the bag she looked behind her under the register and everywhere and she said nope i definitely put it in the bag yous even seen me.so i took everything out so she could see it’s not in there, there is no holes in the bag and she said because there isn’t any footage of her not putting it in the bag she can’t do anything she went and got the manager after thinking we were being disrespectful by saying “oh casper the ghost might be here” not saying it towards her she got offended.i was happily waiting for the manager as i’ve paid for an item that wasn’t in the bag.she didn’t come back for a while but the other nice lady that was with this girl found it under the register where this girl looked!

Customer service is exceptionally poor. Whilst the floor staff were helpful during a very busy time, the counter staff were more focused on gossiping with one another than serving customers. This caused unnecessary delays for those customers wishing to make a purchase.

Customer service at this store and all city beach stores is below sub standard. Not staff on the floor and if there are staff on the floor they just ignore you. When you get to the counter you get attitude from thw staff if you don't give your email over

The customer service is soo disappointing & low, we bought so many clothing and when we went to purchase them the staff were very unprofessional, swearing and talking bad about us. The clothing we bought wasn’t folded and all squashed into one bag, never coming back to this store!

Why is there never anything in stock? Why advertise product when use don't even have it.
It gets pretty annoying and makes u go elsewhere this is pretty poor on ur behalf city Beach

Great styles, helpful staff, takes a little while at the payment desks and music is very loud, overall a great city beach

Hopeless customer service at the counter. They had one guy on and 4 other staff helping him but they failed to notice the line up for the counter and were to lazy to open another register.

This is not just this City Beach, I have noticed this with a few of them now.

Great selection in store and wonderful customer service, needed to exchange a gift that did not fit my partner and they made the process run so smoothly.

Over priced, poor quality clothing, dresses always shrink when I wash them even by hand with cold water. They hardly cater to women with larger breasts for swimwear. Jeans sizing is whack I can't even fit a 16 over my thighs even though I'm a size 14

Terrible customer service. The staff (at the time of my visit) had no idea what good customer service meant. Shopped there once: terrible. Gave them a second chance and shopped there again: terrible. I'll never shop there again. Side note- I went upstairs to Surf Dive and Ski, and not only did they have the item I was after cheaper but their service was excellent.

The worst City Beach I've ever walked into. I expected a lot more from such a big store in a busy location, but all the staff were incredibly rude. Never greeted you, asked if you needed a hand or even glanced in your direction, even if they walked right past you.
