City Beach reviews
10 Staff are worked to the bone, running everywhere throughout the very cluttered space, the variety of items is overwhelming
Staff are friendly though
I went to city beach with my best friend and Caitlin was an amazing help. Definitely recommend to ask for her.
Never try and take back a faulty item they will take it for weeks and they never know what has happened with item can take up to 8 weeks for this process a joke of a company
The store is over crowded with product. Young girl that worked there leaning on the counter on a tablet completely disinterested in her job, then thrust the bag at me after I'd paid and didn't say anything to me. The item scanning at less then the price on the tag was the only good thing.
Stood in there for a good 20min at shoes customer near me got served then I didn't get acknowledged at all.
I'm pretty sure the staff could be nicer to their customers when they're spending money in the store. But I'm an optimist, so this place gets a four!
Some great bargains on clothes and shoes now in the Autumn Clearance.picked up 3 pairs of shoes really cheap! Great friendly service as well.
Sunglasses broke within 3.5 months. No receipt (found later) but had bank details as was only purchase. Happy to swap but they didn't have the same item. They were on sale plus i had some bonus discount on the day from being a mbr. The replacement were only$10 dearer than the others we chose as a possibility, with discount but they were only applying the sale discount, not the extra we had originally gotten. So i said thanks but no thanks. Manager wouldn't give the extra discount I'd originally gotten, so i asked for a refund as item was faulty. They had to phone for approval.for less than$40 & when they'd seen MY Bank statement showing the sale& found the sale in their system. Lot of rigmarole for something simple. Will just go to Myer or David Jones next time to buy cheap sunnies. Returning faulty goods there is much less hassle. (As they'd cracked across the top of the frame, even though they get stored in a case I had to buy as they don't supply one, to me, that's a fault) Yes, cheap glasses. But they should still last more than 4 mths.
I often shop at City Beach. It's a smaller store but still rammed full with some cool gear. Staff are always friendly.
Waited a long time for assistance with shoes when we were the only people in the store. The staff member who eventually decided to ask if we needed a hand was short and disinterested at best. Once she found the shoes in the appropriate size she simply handed me the box and walked off.
Fortunately I was able to determine the size I needed and will be purchasing online from an alternative vendor.
