City Beach

Great, I have just paid to be seated and dine at beach house has been hit with a soon closure notice.

Entitled disengaged teenagers working there. No greetings, or response to my greeting. Such a poor customer service.

I had a lovely experience with the ladies on staff tonight (1/12/22 at around 8pm) and wanted to make sure that gets passed on! I'm annoyed I didn't get their names but I could see they were tired and run-down with a lot of things going wrong or being against them. But all 3 staff at the desk were so friendly and conversational! They were happy to call up other stores to set aside things for people and I just think if more customers smiled at them and appreciated them they would be kinder in return.

Bought a pair of shoes that were marked $120 on the shelf. Knew exactly what I was after, so I took the shoes straight to the counter without trying it on. Sales assistant said the shoes were $130 and I asked why, as the ones on display were $120. The sales assistant said, “the price on the box says $130”. Didn’t even go to check the price on display. Just repeated, “the price is on the box”. Went to ask the other sales assistant why the one on display was marked $120, reply was “we’ve recently marked up our prices, it’s $130, you’re probably looking at the kids sizes”. I Checked all the other shoes of the same style/colour in adult sizes and there were marked the “incorrect prize”. Would’ve happily paid the extra $10 however staff were just rude and blunt, didn’t take the effort to check all the shoes on display or apologise that the prices on display were incorrect. Terrible customer service.

You have a rude staff. Never smile never look at us. This was already during the payment time, so note that we didn’t ask her anything. We just need her to receive the payment. She was so rude. The name on our receipt is “ALANIS”. Time of payment was 13/7 4: 22 pm. What’s wrong with her? !

Statt is very rude and dont want any businees, they told me "You cannot test the skateboard in store, are you going to buy that!? "

I had accidently purchased my husband the wrong size shoes and we took them in for a return to swap out for correct ones. Unfortunately, they didn't have the size needed in the exact style however the staff were so incredibly helpful! They bought out other similar options & colours in their stock until we found the pair he wanted. After we decided, the swap over of stock at the register was done quickly and the staff were all wonderful!

This rating is based on my first time experience visiting CB Garden City on 04/12/21- for the lack of customer service by 2 out of the 3 workers behind the register that early afternoon.
I guess I wasn’t the only one bothered by their service as while I was waiting in line I saw one customer being served & she didn’t like how she was spoken to so she put her items back & left the store and another customer obviously saw what I saw, didn’t like it so she left the line up, put her item back then left the store also.
Although this happened I must say when I walked in I was greeted by this lovely young lady who was very friendly & welcoming, it was just the 2 girls behind the counter that I feel need to be aware of their tone and body language when talking & interacting with customers.

Big selection of clothing, shoes etc. Don't often shop here, but when I do I don't walk out empty handed.

Not good as had to go.looking for staff assistance and also did not have what we wanted on the 2 visits

I got bored and was curious about what retail stores playlists were like and this by far was the best. Not really sure if this is the offical City Beach Playlist but its an absolute banger of a playlist! Too bad its not played in-stores: (keep the house bangers coming though!

Good range of clothes but some staff just plain rude and in dire need of customer service training.
It wasnt like they were worn out at the end of their day, it was 10.20am.

For someone that doesn't know how to style streetwear like myself, Dom the asian guy was super helpful, he knew his stuff! I was looking for a pair of shoes to go with my outfit and he showed me so many different styles and even help me picture different type of clothing that can go with it, super lovely and helpful! Safe to say the best employee i have ever seen at city beach. Ended up buying 2 pairs of shoes,

At my visit this morning to your store I was appalled by the lack of employer to customer respect.this gentlemen was short and scruffy in a singlet with a very loud vocal approach to the customers. He charged at me as he proceeded to remove the item I wished to purchase from my hands stating that “we cannot allow you to walk around with them until you purchase, I will leave them at the front counter for you”. I felt violated and belittled as I was unable to 1. Decide if I needed them or 2. If I wanted to pair it with any other items.
I strongly suggest you reconsider your employment guidelines as well as adequately informing your staff of the actual rules and regulations:)

Kim was really helpful, I was chasing some boots & she didnt have the correct size so she rand 2 other stores for me. Great attitude

City Beach, Garden City - shame on you. I purchased a gift card for my son and when he went to redeem it, it wouldn't work. The staff requested to see the receipt, which of course I didn't give to my son. That's what a gift card is for. No receipt should be necessary. I eventually found the receipt, but my son had used a different payment method. The store wouldn't adjust the payment method for him. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING City Beach. What sort of staff training do you give. This is a processing problem and should NOT be put back on the customer. This was a gift (from hell). I will never shop at City Beach again and will be very vocal in this instance. Unfortunately there is no way to select 0 stars - you don't deserve any stars.

Waited over 30 minutes to be served today, was first in line and paying cash but the girl at the register would only serve people with eftpos. Had to wait that long to purchase one t-shirt. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Can't complain about the customer service because there was none, I went to the fitting rooms and got ignored, I went to pay for my items and I got ignored. I will no longer be shopping at this location.

Visit this store today with my husband and baby to browse and purchase some clothing and converse shoes. Immediatly when entering this store I was greeted by a staff member poorly dressed in see through style brown shirt, he completely ignored my husband and claimed to be speaking to the baby when I responded to return my hello, he then stalked us around the store making it completely uncomfortable to shop, so we decided to leave the store which he then followed us out and then said goodbye as it was his intention to completely and rudely make our shopping experience terrible. Really bad customer service

Team member Joel is an absolute 10/10. Premium customer service for each & every customer. I observed him serving a man in front of me who I assumed was a friend by the conversation, but upon getting my turn at the register, I realised it was just the way he is.
