City Beach

Has to be the slowest register experience in history. Management needs to address the speed at which the staff can operate the checkout. Ever time I have shipped here my experience of waiting in line has been the same. EXTREMELY SLOW.

Absolutely loved my experience on Friday I came in, had a lovely male staff member inform me on how to order online / find certain items in the store. I will definitely be back again!

I was shopping in store about a week ago, I was looking at shoes but nobody came to help when I was actively seeking it and the lady whom I imagine is the store manager had a horrible attitude and genuinely put me off this store in general. Bear in mind this was around 1pm on a Wednesday yet I was basically ignored. I would expect a better customer service attitude from the manager. I don't think I'll be back to this store.

Absolutely impeccable service from Kaleb, i came in in a wheelchair as i contracted a rare disease after my wife left me. I personally believe that this disease was caused from heartbreak as my wife Sharron and i were together for 22 years and together had 5 kids. Anyway, Kaleb showed me around the whole store and even convinced me to buy some socks with my new shoes.

Terrible experience at this store.the lady who i assume was the manager was extremely rude and made me uncomfortable.i had to leave the store.will not be going back

With 5 staff running around inside!

Practically never any stock of any items both me and my partner have been after. Staff haven't been helpful for the most part but occasionally they're fine.

I stood in line for the register for over 10 mins. There was only one register open and the customer was having a problem with payment, so the employee was tied up. The other register was closed with an employee just looking at the computer acting like she was oblivious to the customer line- to buy clothing. She didn't even make eye contact with any customers. I had a bundle of clothes to buy, but the ignorance of this employee was astounding, so I walked out.

Employee named Josh had helped me find the perfect pair of shoes for me I asked for shoes without any hesitation and a smile on his face he helped me right away he definitely made my experience there the best it could be.

Take the time to train your staff in actual customer service. The guy who served me seemed disinterested, no actual care shown for me at all. I feel for all the poor shoppers who have to be "served" by this guy.

It's a good place to shop but should get new clothes every once in a while because every time I come the same clothes are here. But is very good to look at every once in a while.

Always friendly helpful staff, they're all very happy and bubbly in the Chermside store. Makes for a nice environement to shop in:)

I entered city beach chermside today and was not greated as usual.staff are usually very kept to themselves and don’t greet customers or offer help.i looked around and when i was on my way out of the store the alarm had gone off which had happened seconds before when no one was there; i think they need to fix there security alarms.the man at the
door asked to check my friend and my own bag which we accepted for him to do so.i had previously bought a dress from city beach at another location the day before and still had the tag on it and had it in my bag with me.he then accused me of stealing it and i had made clear that i had bought it yesterday and do not have the receipt on me.he took the dress out of my bag and searched it for alarm things which he didn’t find.he then looked through the rest of my bag pulling on the hanger of a bra i just bought.i think this was very unnecessary and rude.he then spoke to another worker and said ‘she reckons she bought it yesterday but it still has a tag on it’ this comment was rude, the lady said if it doesn’t have the alarm thing on it they can go.worst customer service experience ever disgraceful

My shopping experience was over the Christmas period 2018 in the mix of a crazy busy Saturday, although I’ve been back many times. I spent a big portion of my Xmas budget at City Beach. My intention was not to buy when I first walked into your Chermside store. Stores I visited and bought from was Chermside and Morayfield. The service received from the Xmas casuals was a little bit below expectations just based on their knowledge but in my opinion this wasn’t an issue as they were polite and had a helpful manner. My experience dealing with the managers/team leaders was exceptional and is what stood out. Their level of professionalism and conduct of how they interact with their team and customers was expectional.

Overall the prices was right, the service was great and the whole experience was extremely enjoyable. I am now a huge fan of City Beach. Customer interaction needs to be more consistent during each visit for five stars. Best presented City Beach without question!

Don't even live close to Chermside, and I keep getting random phone calls from these people. I pick up, they mumble and hang up. Note: I have never provided my number to this company.

The product range is this store is impressively vast Please see my photos for a glimpse of their range) but unfortunately good customer service does not seem to be a strong focus for this store.

We have been here many times and the waiting times can be long during busy times or at Christmas but there just never seems to be enough staff to manage the rolls and serve on the floor?

The quality of service is really something that should be addressed. The staff generally seem stressed and overwhelmed and always in a rush to be somewhere else.

I think City Beach’s head office should revisit their staff allocation expectations for this store and specifically offer more training to assist their team in offering better customer service.

At some point clients may just find other surf stores that offer better shopping experiences or they will just buy on line.

Received really professional help getting some shoes. Made an effort to find the right style in a bigger size. Friendly staff at checkout too. Good to see some young staff doing customer service well️ (Which isn't always the case judging by all the complainers on here)

I went in with my mum to purchase a pair of shoes that my brother was after, the display show they ticket and the sticker on the inside of the show said $50 so they are the ones he wanted, when we went to the counter to pay for the shoes, we were told the shoes were $59.99. When we asked why the display shoe and the shoes we got were two different prices we were told to disregard the display price they are actually $59.99. The young lady told us that someone could have put the $50.00 sale sticker on there. So in other words she was blaming the customers for their mistakes.

They told us that if we wanted the shoes then we had to pay $59.99 for them. The guy that was in the shoe area put the same shoe back where we got it from. After we purchased the shoes, I called the store and spoke to the store manager and he told me the same thing with a bunch of other excuses, like the display shoe should have been taken down if it was placed in the wrong spot, and that the display shoe was $50. I work in retail is something is placed in the wrong spot then we honour that price.

The staff are dreadful. They just stand around looking. I dropped a box of shoes and one of the staff members just walked by even though she made eye contact. The space also feels very costophobic with clothing and objects being chucked in your face i really can't stand to be in there for long.
