Centrelink / Services Australia reviews
20Everyone is always super friendly and amazing at their job. They go above and beyond even for small questions like how to get started on youth allowance. Never had a bad experience. Amazing service and great results. I leave there with no other questions in mind. They get the job done quick too.
For the last 3 years I have been fighting to have a debt removed from my account which should never have been there to begin with. All because the job net work provider stated I was working full time when I wasn’t.
I have submitted all payslips, my contract and various other documentation to prove this.
I even went to the extent of contacting freedom of information. The gave me a 75page document showing what happened, when I called and what documents I supplies ect.
One page states “customer has submitted all documents and it’s confirmed she was only part time” yet here we are 3 years later and I’m still no closer to this being solved.
Not happy
Visited Centerlink at Nundah today it was really good very helpful people I forgot to ask her name she was very professional n polite thank you for your help today
Had a few concerns regarding my current employment and needed some advice on possible support moving forward.
Rhys was a true gentleman and helped me with a few options that could look at, he got me set up with the new mygov app showed me how to start an application of claim if I needed too.
He listened without judgement, clearly great at his job. Thank you for being you and keep up the great work.
Arrogant rude staff.
Absolutely disgusting how they talk to my elderly parents they were embarrassed. Yeah I get your busy, I get that it's frustrating at times but that's the job you signed up for so if you can't keep it professional and be kind to your customers then quit. Never again.
Excellent customer service! Procedures explained well. Much appreciated. Keep it up. Nundah Centrelink! Thank you
My wife of Italian descent who came to Australia on a working holiday visa 5 years ago to Mareeba to pick fruit. We met 4 years ago and we got married and had a child. The child was born 1 year ago and in that time she stayed home and took care of our child while she studied for an NDIS support worker. I work full time in construction and supported my family. She went to Services Australia in Cairns to see about our Family Tax Benefit and Child care Subsidy. As she didn't understand completely how to file for it she went there to ask some questions. She explained her situation and the clerk on the counter told her in a very unprofessional way " well you don't work why do you think you can get family tax benefit or child care subsidy"?
Train you staff Services Australia, we pay you and you work for us.
Constantly condescending words and looks. If you want to feel like less of a person this is the place to go. Service on site is just as dysfunctional as the services they offer online. The online services can become obsolete if they screw up your information, forcing you to visit a location to get it fixed. Even after all the waiting and suffering, your problems may not even get fixed.
I needed an international covid vaccination certificate urgently and one of the counter staff made a special effort to get the certificate quickly.

The lady with a black suit that works at the front door was extremely rude also with the lady she was working with, both were extremely unprofessional.
Jane was so unprofessional, unhelpful and unkind. No greeting. I needed help thats why i went there, but she only said was " you probably get dept. We need these documents" thats it. May be it was busy day for her but it doesnt mean that she can be rude to people. I left without saying thank you or bye. What for?
Absolutely disgraceful office that would have to be the worst customer service people out there i feel for people that have to deal with them regularly i was there for medicare and they were so rude.
I came in at 4PM and the staff were friendly and pleasant. Quick service and I was able to resolve my issue.
Terribly rude staff and horrible service. I was spoken to in a condescending manner on nearly all occasions. I ended up owing a debt due to lack of communication and information from centrelink regarding youth allowance.
I could have sorted everything online, but the website lacks important features (e.g. Setting up ongoing repayments), and inconveniently makes services unavailable when I need to use them (e.g. Reporting income or changes in circumsyances). Instead, the website directs you to phone numbers or to visit a location to get help. This is extremely inconvenient and time wasting. This has caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety, especially as a university student.
Most of the workers here have an attitude. Very unhelpful and didnt manage to fix my online claim submission problems
Soooo sloooooow! Can't believe that in 2019 I have to take a day off work & spend half of it at Medicare just to change my name after marriage. If the Australian Government can't move with the times, it should at least allow you to make an appointment in advance so as not to waste your time.
The first impressions I had was positive as it was a good atmosphere to get things done. Depends on the time of day and how busy it can be, the staff are friendly and easy to get along with
Extremely helpful with short wait times each time I went in. Family members have also said they had positive experiences here. Definitely a rare find when it comes to government offices
I had issues at a different centrelink that really messed with my account for months till I went to Nundah and they worked with me to fix everything.
Dont know how many Natalies there are there but she was super lovely and easy to work with
As someone who genuinely and desperately needs help, they certainly make it hard to get any. Something has to change with the whole system that is in place for people, good luck everyone.
