Cathedral of St Stephen reviews
57 This is a beautiful cathedral dating back 150 years, located in the heart of Brisbane.
It is definitely worth the visit even if you are just passing by. The architecture is so fascinating and beautiful. It is also well maintained.
Despite being surrounded by many modern structures, the beauty of this historic building is preserved.
A most wonderful Cathedral and a superb place to spend time and to reflect upon one's life and circumstance
Amazingplace to visit the structure are very old but very cool and quiet place to visit on able to experience the tour of this place. Praying I could come back here and hopefully with my Mom would love this place.
Very peaceful and serene atmosphere, great for remembering the lord and meditating on his holy names
An incredible renovation completed under Francis Rush's day that has been maintained to today.
Looks amazing outside but it was closed when we got there. No signage whatsoever to inform the public.
Was a joy to join the Brisbane community for a Christmas mass. Well organised and beautifully executed.
Location of the church is in prime area of Brisbane City, a lovely catholic Church, surrounded by GPO, Malls and banks. A wonderful place to visit.
Lovely, if somewhat small by cathedral standards, cathedral in the centre of the city. Lovely vaulted ceilings and a big pipe organ (which I didn't hear). The acoustics made the choral performance I was listening to very impressive. No fans so can get a tad warm inside when it's hot outside.
Beautiful church of worship. My partner from Western Australia was so overwhelmed and great full for this awesome experience.
A solace in the midst of the bustling CBD laced with tranquillity and peace. Just sitting meditatively in this beautiful cathedral with its wonderful architecture and art works, makes you feel closer to God.
Good place to meditate during lunch time. I have noticed there is a mass at lunch time I could go
BEAUTIFULLY MAINTAINED BUILDING
St Stephen's cathedral is a beautiful building but suffers a little from being crowded in by its more modern neighbours.
It sits high on the nad with a set of steps up to thje entrance which might be a bit challenging for people with mobility issues.
Great colours just before sunset.
Such a beautiful old building and there is a peace to this place. So beautiful inside and outside. Though i dont come to thhe city very often, i may have to change that just to enjoy the peace and quiet of this church and the grounds surrounding
My go to place when I am filled with so many thoughts. A great place to sit and converse with God and off load my burdens, love this church ️
Wether you are a Catholic or not, or a believer or an agnostic one can admire the architecture of this beautiful church. The masonry is superbly made. It takes my breath away every time I drive by on my way home. The inside is a mixture of modern and old, simply stunning.
Feels like Heaven.
Experience the glory from 1800's.
It's just beautiful and extremely gorgeous.
Very clam.
Attended Sunday mass as a visitor from an Inter-State; Beautiful church and friendly parishioners.
Music and the singing of the choir was amazing
The grounds are peaceful and well kept. After 5pm mass the lights are turned on in the cathedral and it gives this undescrible vibe through the stained glass windows. Even against the newer buildings the catherdral resonates strength against adversity. Beauty that has been molded through time that stands tall against modernity and all its facades
