I started with 1 lesson but ended up with 3, he takes the time to teach and help you to improve. Highly recommended

A great and supportive place for a surf lesson. John was fantastic in getting the group ready for the water and Ben looked after Jo and Grace in the water to catch their first wave.

Very highly recommended for beginners! John and Emily are lovely instructors, who are patient and very encouraging throughout the entire lesson duration. We all managed to stand on the board by the end of the lesson!

Great surf school. John, the surf instructor possesses a wealth of knowledge and patiently gives one-on-one assistance to every individual in the lesson. Groups were small in size. I would recommend to anyone, regardless of their surfing proficiency level - be it beginners or those with prior experience.

The surf lessons are on one of the sunshine coast's most beautiful beaches. It is quiet and the waves are perfect for beginners. The surf coach is very welcoming and guides you at your level.

Don't hesitate, just do it! Even if you had no surfing experience!

John is a really friendly guy who provides great advice. Makes you feel comfortable from the start and ensures a great experience for first timers wanting to learn. Support staff along with John really encouraging with great tips and pointers.

The groups are big so people are everywhere around you. That makes it harder for us as a beginner.

3 kids 10,13 and 15 was our first time and they had us up and surfing

Got to do my lesson with John and the team on Sunday, even tho we had quite a big class everyone got equal time with the trainers. Absolutely awesome experience, guys were extremely helpful getting you standing up and on waves, John really knows his stuff and explains everything very thorough.

Highly recommend Caloundra Surf School. My introductory lesson was well coordinated, communicated and most importantly conducted by competent (and really fun) instructors. Attention to detail was great. I have no reservation to recommend Caloundra Surf School to any other introductory surfers eager to draw from both the wealth of experience led by really fun surfing instructors at some of Sunshine Coast's best beaches!

We had a super experience surfing for the first time with John. He was super helpful and supportive. We also had a transport issue and he was super accomadating helping us get to the closest location.

John, the instructor, was great. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time trying surfing. Definitely recommend the place for first-time surfers!

We’ve had our first surf lesson from John and his team on Dicky Beach and had so much fun! We loved the personal approach and the way the basics for surfing were explained. The only thing we regret is that we didn’t do this sooner. Would definitely recommend to book a lesson here!

He gave us great clear instructions and explanations, then was very patient and helpful, providing everyone with the individual help they needed, while we negotiated the surf, thus maximising our fun:) Highly recommended.
