Cairns Esplanade Lagoon reviews
52Excellent public swimming facility I have ever come across. Caters to all ages with different depths. Even artificial beach so you don't miss out on the sand. Would love to go again.
Great public swimming pool. Has an ocean-entry on the deeper end, along with water fountains for a bit of fun. Large grass area around the lagoon to lounge. Open till 9: 00 p.m. Every day.
Great place to chill out, sandy lagoon, grassy shaded area, BBQ facilities and of course the lagoon for swimming and chilling out. Loved out time here
This is such a great idea to have, beautiful, clean and safe to swim in. Only Wednesdays it's closed but opens at 12pm. The rest of the days it opens early and closes late
Very beautiful place, calm and peaceful. A lot of space. You can grill planchas there, they are self-service.
Great kid friendly swimming spot. Lifeguards on duty too.
Lockers are cash only, so bring a few $1 coins
Nice but the lockers are coin only and the local cafe refused to give us coin change when we tried to buy drinks with cash.
Quite a nice experience.at the time we visited depth was about 1.5m. There is take away restaurants just opposite which means you can grab a bite easily without the need to pack food. The toilets do include change rooms and bath - which is convenient. Good outing for a family.
Nice weather, cleaner compared to the others I have been too. Nice balance of crowd today on the 26th of December 2021.
The Great Christmas Tree on the Esplanade is a worthwhile attraction to come and see if you are the in the Cairns area at The Cairns Esplanade Lagoon and the Lagoon itself is a very popular place to cool off.
Good view to take photo when it's a great day.water is not clean enough for younger kids/toddlers/infants.
Great hotel, great room and shower.
The city is a half hour walk along the beach, which can be intense in 35 degree heat but there is a great lagoon pool as you get to the city.
Great pool in hotel although it is much smaller than it looks in the pictures!
Great place for a walk, run, swim. Plenty of sunshine and not overly crowded. Sun screen essential.
Kids stirred up the sand near the shore near one of the ramps near the. 45 area and it smelt so bad like sewerage.but other than that it's a great safe place to swim
Fantastic, went for BBQ dinner and plenty of free BBQ's and all very clean. Will be going back over Xmas break.
Great place to take young kids, would like to see a drink / ice cream stand there would make it even better
Great place to go with the family, whether during holidays or for an after school swim. Clean, well maintained, and safe.
No stingers, no crocs, no probs!
A great place to cool off.
Grab yourself a locker and you can come and go as you please.do some shopping, have a swim, make use of the plethora of nearby restraunts, have a swim.
There are life guards on duty and the water is a good depth for a proper swim. Big enough that you can gain some distance from the kiddies shallow end.
Don't forget to Slip, Slop, Slap.and wear a hat.
So chilled, so many bars, cafes, friendly staff, plenty of parking, great free pools for the family.lovely weather
