BWS Myer Centre

The woman running the BWS next to Coles has horrible customer service skills, and is very rude, and pretentious, wouldn’t recommend, go further down to Albert St, much better customer service.

Went in to buy a bottle today before going home while my friend stood outside waiting for her bus. I was immediately approached by a team member who asked straight up for my friend’s ID as she looked to be younger than 25 (she was flattered though in hearing that). I understand that ID checking is a crucial part of the job in keeping everyone safe, however I do not understand why my friend who was standing outside, obviously not on premise, and definitely had no intention of purchasing from the shop has to have her ID checked? BTW she’s an international student and the only form of valid ID is their passport. (Obviously no one is going to carry their passport around everywhere unless THEY HAVE INTENTION OF PARTICIPATING IN ACTIONS WHICH REQUIRE ID SUCH AS PURCHASING ALCOHOL.) If this rule is enforceable then kids that are shopping with their parents who wait outside while their parents are purchasing should also have their ID checked shouldn’t they? I 100% appreciate the strict enforcing of laws but only when they are reasonable, the actions took by the team member I met today was obviously not. I will most certainly not come back to this store.

Too expensive when you can go to the gabba which is only 10 minutes drive away and go to Dan Murphy's

Great little shop. Staff are very friendly and happy to help. The only downside is its range, but that is to be expected for a physically small storefront. I take 1 star off for lack of foresight by the 'higher ups' for not getting a bigger space, but all in all, 4 stars.

Great service, friendy staff, cheap prices and a wide array of products definately a must 5 stars out of 5
