Don’t expect all the items that a normal Bunnings has here. Purely for tradies but general people are welcome Aswell.
I'm not a tradie so I don't go here often, and I don't know a lot about the variety of products. DEREK went way or of his way to help me find what i needed in csr sheeting.then when I told him I had no experience and was afraid I'd stuff it up trying to cut it, he offered to do it for me. Just a kind generous fella.not something you find often these days!
Truly disappointing – When asked to quote on an order, Bunnings came in at $2501.82. When exactly the same materials were quoted by Hudson Home Timber and Hardware, Capalaba at $1985.32, Bunnings reduced their quote to $1980.02 – what ever happened to beat by 10% - lies, lies, lies – This was a lousy reduction of $5.30 below the much better quote – HELLO – this is 0.267 %, not 10%.
Consequently, I placed my order with Hudson HTH who were kind enough to beat the second Bunnings quote by a further $10 without my asking. I was quite happy with this given that Hudson HTH had come up with a very fair price in the first instance, when Bunnings certainly had not.
To further show that Bunnings pricing is not at all what it could be - Bayside plaster sold me 2.5Kg of gold shank plaster nails for $8.90 (as a walk in off the street - no trade card at all) and Bunnings wanted $29.90 in store for 2Kg!
Great drive in one stop trade shop. The staff are well trained but need to understand that for trades and business owners, time is money so we need to get in, get served and get out as quick as possible.
Love this place for timber. Also don't need to have a trade account to purchase from here neither. But be warned they don't have all the stock of a normal bunnings so don't go in expecting to get a snag and a curtain rod cause they don't sell much from the normal warehouses.
