48 Very prompt and efficient service! Purchased a number of items on line and received email message within a few hours that goods were ready for pick up. When I got to the Smithfield shop it took only minutes for a friendly young lady to arrive with a trolley at my car to deliver the purchased items. She even helped me to load the car! Very impressed - fantastic customer service!

In the 20 years! I have shopped at Smithfield Bunnings.the customers in front a dozen more behind me (line up is hazardous). We witnessed not one customer being asked for bag check.then it may of been the Colour of skin or I really looked like a poor thief. This decrabid old checkout operator, tapped the young boy serving.and said ill take over.the lad refused and insisted on finishing his customer service. This Nasty human takes over an leaned over counter and demanded a bag check.i just paid 99$ on cr cd but Shocked to say the least, because the line up was long.my bag was no bigger than a Loaf of bread.
Really good help from the person at the returns desk. Efficient and they did all they could to try to help me.
Terrible experience, online stipulates heaps of stock available and upon arrival nothing? Always call ahead and they reiterate the same and apon arrival nothing even though when in store still stipulates stock available. Very little help, everything seems to be in the to hard basket. And on other occasions was told had no stock, months to wait yet I can see pallets of the item I'm after in highrise?
Today on the 15th day of August, I went to the Cairns city Bunnings. I was politely informed that the product I was looking for was out of stock, however it was in stock at the Smithfield store. I was advised by staff that there was low stock, and to call prior to driving over.
I called the Smithfield store, however I had to wait on hold for 26 minutes and still had no answer. I went and did other stuff I had to do. I later called again where I spoke to a lovely person named Jamie. They got my name and details and told me they would reserve the product and place it at the front desk. I informed them I would be approximately 20 minutes away.
My partner and I then drove to the Smithfield store.
When we arrived we went to the front desk. I spoke to staff who had no idea where the product was. A large man who worked there and called himself “Buddha” spoke to us. He was so rude, and began abusing us and treating us like we were stupid. He began lecturing us in front of clients and telling us “you should’ve got the name of who you spoke to. Always get the name of who you spoke to. You should always get the name”. I knew who I spoke to but he never let me get the chance to say anything at all.
This man was so rude and humiliated us. We were absolutely appalled by his service. I don’t think I have ever had service that was as rude as this man. I was absolutely disgusted by his attitude.
I could see his colleges were also disgusted and embarrassed by how rude he was.
This sort of rude behaviour and demeaning attitude is unacceptable.
I will not return to Smithfield Bunnings and be served my this man ever again! You have lost a loyal customer due to this man!

Very disappointed in the lack of service in the gardening section today.
I had purchased two large pot, 4 x plants and a large bag of potting mix.
After spending over $300, I ask the young man standing doing nothing at the door, if he could help lift the bag of potting mix in the car and apparently customer service no longer exists, very sad.
Good open layout with a *very* wide range of goods in hardware, outdoor and gardening. Staff are always friendly and welcoming with a fair product knowledge.

Nice bunnings much similar to any other bunnings. Staff knew where everything is. Lady at the trade desk was super friendly
Bruce, working in the paint section was amazing. Spent a lot of time explaining types of paints and the preparation I required. An asset to the team.
Very good service and products. Karen from special orders made my order for specific wall tiles so easy. She was great! She sourced the tiles even when the systems were down and ordered them. She then made sure they came in and then rang me. She even counted the boxes and made sure they were all there before she rang me. To top it all off, she was genuinely happy the order came in. What a Legend!
Who doesnt love going to Bunnings? Number one 'go to' place when out shopping. Smithfield generally has all that i need but Ido wish it was bigger so as to stock their entire range. Some things i have needed recently are online orders only but I like to see for real what i am about to buy and therefore have bought the items elsewhere.big ticket items too.
Great open style store layout, easy to navigate isles. Very helpful lady at the Information Desk providing helpful guidance about isle location for particular items.
We have always given excellent reviews, but today my husband experienced very poor service from the trade department. He wanted to a buy a tool chest worth $589, but it was damaged and the key was missing. There was no interest in selling this item, or any other. He enquired if there were any more in stock and the answer was a blunt, 'No'. He then asked if there were any in the other Cairns store and the female employee said, 'Nope' and no further interest was shown to him. However, other employee from other departments in Smithfield were very helpful for other items purchased.
Young guy Matthew helped me at the paint count tonight (8/3/22). Amazing service, went above and beyond to get a correct match for paint we had previously miss matched! Very polite and helpful, 10/10 service! Absolute asset
