I have been shopping around and doing online research for a PA system. I am a solo singer songwriter - acoustic plus vocals. I have a very simple stripped back set up and I wanted to find THE BEST QUALITY AND BEST SOUNDING PA SYSTEM for my small gigs (<100 people).

I was impressed with the online reviews and tutorials by the ELECTRO VOICE EVOLVE 50M, but I never trust online PR and reviews when it comes to high end music gear. There is nothing like actually listening to it live and touching and feeling it. This is where Brisbane Sound Group comes in!

I found the best price at BSG, so I gave them a call and discovered that they have a purpose built sound room with their PAs all set up and ready to trial live. I spoke with their Sales Exec John Conway who was very professional and super friendly! He encouraged me to come in and plug and play.

When I arrived he had it all set up and ready to go. I just plugged in my mic and acoustic and WOW! The EV EVOLVE 50M really lived up to all the online hype. It took me 20 seconds to decide I was buying it.

Then John got it all sorted for me including assisting with the Extended Warranty (5 years total) process which was entirely free.

The store itself is incredibly impressive. Vast amounts of space and a huge range of impressive high end and discounted stock of all kinds of sound equipment. This is a shop for the beginner or the serious professional. I consider myself an amateur but I have 35+ years of experience and I know an outstanding music store when I find one. I also always treasure establishing good relationships with my music gear sales people and business owners as I don’t ever intend “giving up” music and will probably be buying gear until they put me in the ground. Investing in relationships and building trust makes sense because it makes life easier and more enjoyable. Don’t hesitate if you are needing help to acquire sound gear. Just get on the phone, ask for John Conway, and take a drive to the store. I would be surprised if you don’t get 5 star treatment like I did.

Final comment. It was a bit tricky setting up the Extended Warranty. I contacted Electro Voice Asia Pacific via their website and I got an immediate response and fantastic assistance. Also John Conway was very helpful, sending me a quick link. So after sales service and customer assistance with BGS and EV has been first class.

As I am not a sound expert Andy spent so much time looking into the right equipment I needed and explaining it to me and having to deal with my endless questions. Not only that he found products that has been so simple to use and set up. When it came to ordering I had an extremely tight deadline and he was able to make it happen. The distributor of my wanted item is 10klm down the road, Melbourne Eastern Suburbs, but I got the best price in Australia from BSG Qld. So I ordered it. It took just two days, in covid era. Just as unbelievable as the great product they supplied. Awesome customer service, friendly, super efficient and on top of communicating with you. Everything, including the product was pure delight.

The service was brilliant. The salesman was awesome! Very informative and was knowledgeable. The shop is wow! It speaks for itself. Yesterday was my 1st time at the store but it wont be the last.

Great place for most things audio. Covering lights, Mixing desks, leads, in ear monitoring systems, Microphones & live PA speaker systems, you can get mostly what you need or have it ordered hassle free. Always have had good dealings & interactions with the staff here too, & they're very knowledgeable.

Bought online, they gave me a better price than expected, and had it delivered 3 states away in under 24 hours (during Covid!)

Brisbane Sound is a one stop professional sound sales and hire shop. If Brisbane Sound don't have it, it probably isn't worth getting.
