Brisbane City Council Pool-Langlands Park Memorial Pool

Langlands is my go-to pool for bashing out laps. It’s a busy facility and has something for everyone there. I particularly adore Amy/Amme at the reception. She’s so helpful, welcoming and thoughtful.

Came for a swim at what I was hoping would be my new ‘local’. Lady behind the counter was extremely rude to myself and the person in front of me in the line. Won’t be coming back because of this. Very disappointing

Nice swimming pool complex with Olympic size swimming pool and two other pools. Very popular with families. Lots of swimming lessons and swimming training going on here. Has dedicated rehab pool, also water polo club. Adequate changing and shower facilities Plenty of parking. Staff are very helpful. Recommended.

Says open 5am 50m pool full 25m pool and cover still on shoud have what time all falillties open got here 530am probly 8am before open

The pool is heated. Just feels and looks messy, worn and tired. The staff are quite eccentric. Might be just my experience, but each time I go, the staff talk to people as if they are either really stupid, or wasting thier time.
It does have good shade, but not a lot of room beside the pools. Parking can be difficult as there isn't a lot out front.
Main pool is heated.kids pool.not so much.my kids were freezing in no time and we had to go back in the main pool to warm up.

Can’t recommend Storytime learn to swim enough. After trying other swim centers with stricter programs My 2 year old son became fearful of the pool. Storytime swim has completely changed this. Their lessons are always fun and the changing weekly theme keeps them excited to come back. The instructors are flexible (essential with toddlers!) and help wherever they can to ensure swimming and learning is enjoyable which has meant my kids ability has drastically improved!

Good size pools, lots of comfortable seating areas for groups to get together. The heated pool is also a plus in the cooler months. There is also a inflatable obstacle course they put in the pool for kids (and adults if you are keen). My only suggestion is to have some better options for lunch, it's very limited.

Great expectations here, what a great pool has a Cafe, kiosk, plenty of shaded seating, and a shaded stadium seating, big toilet block that has showers as well and benches to put your gear on, I really recommend this place, I went there for a coarse I was doing "Shipboard Safety", we had our life jackets on and the life raft in the pool, too cool hey, and we all passed as we had a good trainer teacher, also it has kiddies pools for the younger ones, and nice gardens that create beauty as well as privacy

I love it's quirks, I love that it is not sterile or sanitised. The garden and casual pool setting is welcoming.

Such a beautiful setting, sparkling pools, lovely staff & an awesome kids pool (& good coffees with the lollies NOT easily seen)

I came here on a weekend and had a great time with my 2year old, despite it being super busy. Came back today (Tuesday in December) at 8am and nothing was open besides the lap pool. We waited over half an hour for the cover to come off the kids area and over an hour to come off half of the 25m pool. The water slide was still not open at 9: 40 when we left and there were loads of kids waiting to use it. I don't see how on a summer day not all the facilities were available.

Great pool however the sun loungers need to be replace asap all falling apart fall through them other then that great.

Very nice pool - good mix of modern facility mixed with a great location and a nice relaxed old school vibe. Unfortunately the day I visited the 2 older ladies working on the front entry were extremely rude. I waited for 2 minutes whilst they both were inthralled with something on their computer. I had to clear my throat to attract their attention - then instead of an apology and a smile I received a very cold sneer that spoke "how dare you interrupt us". I tried to override this with a smile and being nice myself to no avail. Such a shame the staff are ruining a great venue. I'd rather swim at a poor venue with happy staff.

Went for the first time with a friend on a Saturday around 11. We’re beginners so didn’t need much time so the 12pm closing time didn’t bother us.

Staff were very friendly, change rooms clean, loved the plants everywhere. My skin didn’t react to the water like it sometimes does at other pools. No dryness or itching after. No unpleasant chlorine smells.

Lots of places to sit or put your stuff.

Was a little disappointed I didn’t get to see the cat mentioned in other reviews! Hopefully will get to see it next time:)

Loved the friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

I've been coming for about a month, and like a lot of people I can only get my exercise first thing in the morning. There are a lot of lanes dedicated to squads or kids, and the remaining 3 or 4 lanes often have 3 people swimming in each. Which means parking is also difficult. Some of these lanes are people who swim multiple kilometres in a session, clearly doing it for a while, and then there are lanes where people walk, or use slow kickboards. As a younger beginner I find myself in an awkward inbetween stage where I just get in the way - there's no intermediate lane. There's just too many people.

Of late the pool has also started to smell very strongly of bleach.which I realise is only a by-product of all the bacteria, wee and sweat in the pool. But as an asthma sufferer I really struggle when the fumes and bleach smell restrict my breathing, even though swimming is supposed to be good for it. I'll have to try other pools that can maintain their chlorine levels properly. Never smelled an outside pool that smelled so strong before. Extremely off-putting.

The stray cat that roams around is also an odd sight. Perhaps more focus on professionalism and hygiene if you're going to support such high numbers of swimmers.

Polite & friendly staff, clean facilites and fun pools & slide for the kids. My son really enjoys his storytime lesson there. I would recommend visiting for a play with the kids or for doing laps etc.

I love to visit this place on the weekend. It's very neat & clean and I really adore the staff that works there!

Both my kids (3&1 yrs) swam here since bubs. Friendly staff who take their time with the kids. Lovely trees and plants make it feel more like a resort and plenty of shade. Nice coffee and ice creams too.

I personally feel the toddler & less than 5years swimming lessons are not great. The instructors are not same week on week. So kids dont get a chance to develop the rapport with their instructors. Also the distance between one landing to another landing is not even 5-10meters to challenge or help them learn to kick or float. I think swimming lessons in the adult pool & instructors for school going kids are better. But not for younger croud. Even after raising our concern the senior training instructor was not very approachable. Although i liked my daughter's lessons with instructor Lauren for an entire term after that the next 2 terms with other instructors i did not see any progress.
