Should’ve written this review a long time ago!

I haven’t tried many BJJ gyms around the coast but I am happy to say that I’ve found my BJJ family in Brazillian Top Team.

Gus is an empathetic, skilled and highly-knowledgeable coach. He always has a smile on his face even when it’s taking me a little longer to pick up new techniques. So are the members… all smiles and every-so-happy to impart their knowledge.

The best jiu-jitsu instructor I have trained with. Very friendly and patient. Lessons are very practical and effective. Strongly advise checking BTT Australia out if your looking for a superb club with cast iron lineage.

BTT on the Sunshine Coast is such a great place to learn BJJ with an amazing coach and an awesome community of people. Getting to train there under Gus' tutelage is definitely the best part of my day!

Dropped in for an open mat and really liked the atmosphere here. Got some solid rounds in, and Gus and his whole team were very welcoming. I will be returning again for sure!

Excellent place to train and learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Gustavo is one of the highest skilled and knowledgeable coach in Australia. Not only he teaches the “arte suave” but he cares about you and your family. Very high recommended! OSS

I have trained in many gyms in Brazil and Australia but I finally found a man that I feel comfortable to call my master. Gustavo bomba is fixing so many fundamental mistakes on my jiu-jitsu that no-one has ever done it. Btt is like a family. Good atmosphere, no egos and everyone help each other. Oss

This gym has well and truly exceeded my expectations- Gus Bomba, the instructor, is fantastic; the gym is always neat and clean; the training is the best in the area; and there is a great community of people training here.

While holidaying up from Adelaide i was looking for somewhere to train. Gus was recommended to me and I understand why. Great crew welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home. Spending more time on the Sunnycoast in the future ive found my new home away from home. Ooooss.

I went to a no gi open mat today at Brazilian Top Team Sunshine Coast. Professor Gus Bomba and team were awesome! High skill and really friendly. I have trained around and this is such an awesome grass roots gym. One of my favorites. Highly recommended. Thanks very much. I will be back. OSS!

I have trained at many BJJ academies along the east coast of Australia, and Gus at BTT is definitely one of the best professors of BJJ I have had the pleasure to be taught by.

I cannot speak highly enough of my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu experience under the tutelage of Gus "Bomba" Toledo. Being in my early 40's now and coming from an extensive sporting and martial arts background, I can honestly say that, in comparison, Bomba's classes are one of the best activities I have undertaken for developing my fitness. BJJ can be very challenging, yet the classes here are always a lot of fun, learning, laughter and loud music. As a person who is interested in self-development and being a 'better man than yesterday', I can honestly say that joining this club has been one of the best things I have done for me in a long time. You simply won't find a better place to train IMO and the family atmosphere and friendship are the cherry on top for mine. The environment is incredibly supportive and friendly and I found myself welcomed by everyone (Brazillian barbecue and beer after 'rolling' anyone?). There is so much talent and ability on the mat and all of the other students help and teach you each night. I will be putting my 2 little girls in Bomba's kids classes in the next year or so, as the benefits to them will be numerous. In a nutshell, BJJ at BTT with Bomba is an enjoyably challenging experience with great physical, mental and social benefits and I haven't even mentioned how incredibly dynamic and potent the martial art is. Simply an awe-inspiring martial art in every respect and a great place to practice it!
