BJJ Lotus Club

After trying out different BJJ gyms around the Gold Coast I found this one to have the:

1.easiest to understand instruction/demonstration,

2.the friendliest/considerate people/team and

3.the easiest timetable I could stick with long term.

This isn’t just a BJJ gym, but a wonderful community of people looking to better themselves and become more than they were yesterday. Lotus Club is such a welcoming place to not only start your BJJ journey, but develop and grow. I love training, I love the people, and Kaio is a true master of his craft as well as a magnificent teacher.

I'm a life long martial artist who has been training at BJJ Lotus Club under Kaio for a bit over 2 years now, and I don't think I've ever felts as part of a community within a martial arts gym.

Kaio is an absolutely splendid, knowledgeable, passionate and patient instructor who has built a wonderful and accepting community focused on safety and learning, rather than ego and winning at any cost.

Joining the BJJ Lotus Club has been a life-changing decision that I wish I had made sooner. Despite stepping onto the mat for the first time at 63 years old, I've felt welcomed and supported since day one. This is due in large part to Kaio Andrade, our black belt instructor, whose experience, wisdom, wit, patience, and personalized teaching style make every session worthwhile and enjoyable. His willingness to repeat instructions ensures beginners like myself feel comfortable and confident. The camaraderie among club members is unparalleled. Not only are they considerate in adjusting their intensity during training, but many also participate in social events, including dinners and park barbecues. They've encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, leading me to compete in my first Jiu Jitsu competition last weekend, prioritizing safety and learning while having fun. This club is a great place for women and men of all ages wanting to try something new and empowering. Take it from me, it's never too late to start this fascinating journey in such a supportive environment.

I was hesitant to start BJJ due to my age, weight, injuries, busy schedule and a whole bunch of other excuses. I had to find the right club that had the right culture and built a solid understanding of Jiu Jitsu. Many BJJ Dojo's can offer similar things but what impressed me most about Lotus BJJ was the team environment, the idea that we are there to help one another improve was enough for me to see a difference and I haven't looked back. Its now a family thing for me. I bring my two boys and have started a connection with them that I didn't have coaching them in other sports. Not only am I learning great skills, getting fit, more confident and "deadly" I have this awesome bonus of connection with my boys that has been amazing. Great team, great culture with patient and knowledgeable instructors. Definitely recommend.

I've been attending BJJ Lotus Club for just over 2 years now. I've been meaning to add a review for the majority of that time, but I wanted to wait until I could adequately put into words how I feel about the place. How much it means to me, how much I love attending the classes, how much I enjoy studying BJJ with the other members past & present. However, I've come to the realisation that I cannot express the full extent of what BJJ Lotus Club, Sensei Kaio, & my brothers & sisters mean to me. All I can say is thanks & OSS.

The teachers and students at this excellent club are all friendly, helpful and welcoming. BJJ is a great sport for people of all ages and body types, and BJJ Lotus club offers a range of classes at a variety of times.

Highly recommend trying BJJ if you haven’t and I couldn’t recommend Lotus Club anymore. Everyone is very welcoming, super friendly and more than happy to help in any areas.

I am very sad, but I made many memories in Australia.
Especially, I think the best thing I did was to start jujitsu at the Lotus Club and learn it.
I will continue jujitsu in Korea.

Joined this fantastic club about 7 months ago, and my two kids (5 and 9) now attend too. The teachers and students are all friendly, helpful and welcoming. BJJ is a great sport for people of all ages and body types.

Great place to learn and Patrice Jiu Jitsu on the Gold Coast. One of the most welcoming and friendly bjj gyms on the Gold Coast. Highly Recommended

Great facilities, great staff, amazing team, and excellent instructors! I’ve trained at other gyms in the and Lotus Club brings a real family vibe that I feel is missing at many other gyms

Was visting from out of town. And was able to do a last minute walk in.the class was super chilled. And everyone was eager to learn. Great details shown in the techniques aswell.

It's clear from the beginning that the teachers know what are they doing, how to deal with all levels of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with professionalism and care. It's more than a Gym, it's also a family of people who look after each other and cheer with the other success. Strongly recommend for all ages!
