BJJ - Southside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gold Coast

I came for a trial class on Monday, from the moment I walked in to Southside BJJ I was welcomed by friendly staff. Everyone in the class was super nice and friendly. I have now signed up and looking forward to the journey ahead with this high level team!

A black belt friend of mine back home recommended training at Southside due to the exceptional teaching skills and worldwide recognition of Professor Vicente Cavalcanti, who is both a remarkable instructor and a world renowned athlete. From the moment I set foot inside the academy, I was truly impressed by the level of technique and intensity displayed by the crew. I was immediately hooked! The community at Southside is not only extensive but also incredibly welcoming, surpassing my expectations of forming any genuine friendships within a BJJ academy. Our members truly embody the spirit of a close-knit family.

I’ve been looking forward to training at Southside ever since we decided to move to Gold Coast. It has not disappointed! It’s a fantastic and welcoming culture; everyone greets you when you walk in and makes you feel included and a part of the family. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Awesome BJJ school. My son is training here and has learnt so much. The coaches are fantastic and extremely patient. It is like a big family with a great culture. Self discipline and fun mixed together.

Wonderful coach and inviting people. They kindly opened their doors and shared their mat space with our judo club visiting from WA for judo nationals. Just wanted to say how appreciated they are!

I can't recommend enough Southside bjj. If you are a high-level competitor, that's the gym for you. If you are a white belt or want to learn jiu-jitsu, that's the academy for you. Oss

The training and coaching is world class and the community of members are super supportive and willing to help each other, now having spent some time there its easy to see why they are so successful in the competition side of Jiu Jitsu. Having trained at several jujitsu gyms around the world I can confidently say that the knowledge and technique provided by the trainers are second to none.

Such a great family environment and definitely a go to if your looking to better yourself in all aspects of life.
