Bistro Seymour

Wow! Not much to look at from the outside but don’t let this fool you. My partner and I always share our food and we got the Mexican lamb shoulder and the perch. I started with the lamb and it was stunning, did not want to swap meals, but I enjoyed the perch even more! Could not fault the food and it was a beautiful place to eat. The only thing we would say is that for the prices we found it odd that we had to order at the bar, and for an after dinner coffee we had to make it ourselves with a pod. Did not want to take a star off for this.

What a beautiful place for a meal! Large portions of flavourful food that is easily shared. The renovations are beautifully done and the view is always great, many kangaroos to watch.

We had a truly fabulous lunch on my 55th birthday, earlier this month, at Bistro Seymour, and our dietary restrictions didn't faze them at all, thankfully (I phoned to check in advance, when booking) and we had an unexpected and delightful choice of delicious menu options. We met the chef and restaurant owner, Myles Seymour, just in passing, and I thanked him for an excellent meal- what a gracious and kind host he is! Bistro Seymour is located on one of the highest points on the island at the golf course in Dunwich.our view from our table on the verandah of the restaurant, over the golf course, was complete with grazing kangaroos, across Brown Lake (a perched, freshwater lake on this beautiful sand island, named for the tannins in the water from the local tea-trees), across to the sea and to Brisbane in the distance- a fabulous location, and very generous servings of superb vegetarian (& also vegan and gf) food, which we enjoyed with a lovely crémant.a perfect lunch.thank you so much!

Lunch on the deck overlooking the course and the Bay on a spectacular Straddie Winters day. Thai duck curry was superb and beautifully presented. Lovely, friendly staff. Bris restaurant prices but these seemed fair given the quality of the food and location.

Just had a magnificent lunch at Seymour’s Bistro. Staff are very attentive and friendly. Service was great. Best food on Straddie “by Miles”

Absolutely gorgeous place overlooking the course! Staff are lovely, and they are always ready to provide accommodations. The food is incredible and is always very quick to come out. Such a beautiful experience!

North Stradbroke Golf Club Bistro never fails to impress. The dishes are plated with “love” and care.a feast to the eye and the taste lives up to this and more.
We started with the squid…. Beautifully presented and so tender and tasty…the best we have had in a long time. This was followed by a rib steak so melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection with delicious, interesting accompaniments. Our group also had the fish of
the day, garlic prawns and a steak sandwich…. All scored top marks for flavour.
Dessert followed and the ones we chose were a date and pecan tart and a chocolate panna cotta…. Again presentation and flavour were eye catching and mouth watering.
Service is efficient, friendly and welcoming.
I have recommended this restaurant to so many people and none have been disappointed.

Absolutely amazing! Delicious food and amazing service and activity. First time visiting the island and went here on my last day and it made the end of the trip amazing!
