I just went there buying some raw peanuts and I met the most beautiful young Thai lady helping me about Luncheon meat. I thought I was dead and I was in paradise. I told her she is very pretty. I have never ever met such a beautiful lady in my life.

I went there again yesterday to get some hot curry powder and Garam masala powder and again spoke to the very pretty adorable Thai young lady at the shop. I will one day marry her if she is single. Regards: John

I used to come to this supermarket a lot with my mum when I was younger! I would always take yummy snacks for my mum to buy and eat then when I go in my car, I wish I can come there more often again!

They didn't have what we went in for but they were very helpful with a large variety of items. Good shop.

Big Asia Supermarket is a well stocked specialty shop. It has good selection in every area of the store. At peak times parking can be challenging near the supermarket.

A wide variety of the best products I've seen. Staff always ready to help you find the right item you need. It's my favorite store.

Everything i need is at this place. They even helped me get all the ingredients I need for Asian BBQ and Asian fruit salad

Despite the recent reviews on Big Asia, i was utterly surprised at the amount of products they had and was impressed by it. I recently moved up from Sydney and i struggled to find a good asian grocer in Cairns until i drove pass this place on my way to Innisfail. Service wise, the beautiful staff there was so nice. She even suggested a few butchers around the area. (as butchers are also a rare site). Prices are reasonable and much cheaper than the tiny grocery at Smithfield. (and dont even let me start on their attitude towards service). As the owner has mentioned in one of their replies.it isnt easy to run a business esp up this end of Aust. Keep up the great work and products you already have. I rather drive 30mins to you than to go back to that Asian Grocer in Smithfield Shopping centre.

The only thing 'BIG' about Big Asia Supermarket is the HIGH prices. Or lack thereof, prices are listed incorrectly, more than 80% of stock do not even have prices listed either. Many of the sauces are cheaper at Woolworths. Limited variety that I would hardly call this place a supermarket. Staff were unfriendly and didn't seem to want to even serve you.

Also be on the lookout for expired items.

The Asian Supermarket in the city has more friendly customer service and have been able to order what I want if they don't stock it. A few times I have been to Big Asia, the customer service hasn't been friendly, some of the stock hasn't been available and have also noticed some of the use by dates have been close to expiry. I won't be coming back, rather stay with the great service without fail in the city.

Helpful staff all of them are friendly, more varieties and great price than other asian shop I have been went to in Cairns. I just move here but can buy all my home town product from Big Asia Supermarket. Thank you:)

Friendly staff. Took time to help me find what I wanted. Lots of products. Many noodles, chilli. Good prices too. I was able to get tapioca flour to make my gluten free baking. Bulk rice in 20kg bags! Good for cooking on a budget for big family.

Large variety of canned refrigerated and frozen foods from many Asian cuisine styles. Friendly helpful staff too!

Look, if you tell kids off that aren't yours and it's not required, why would you get 5 stars? Variety is good, the service is not.

Currently our preferred Asian specialty grocery shop in Cairns. Have tried most of them over the years, and Big Asia is winning out with its selection of proper Thai sauces and ingredients.
