This medical centre is the best I’ve ever been to. We have been patients since 2010. They are always nice and friendly

Dr Nik Khanna is absolutely horrible. Doesn’t care about what you have to say and just hurries you along to get you out. Rude man and a horrible doctor. Will never be coming back.

I had been a client of the Beenleigh Family Practice, on and off, for a number of years and was taking a medication, which one of their doctors had prescribed, for a minor ailment for some time. I was planning on moving overseas and so made an appointment to see one of their doctors to learn how I could get my medication aboard, i.e. Could I get my medication in the UK? The doctor there told me clearly and plainly that I could indeed get my medication in the UK, upon which he printed out a document which he signed and stamped and handed it to me. In his words, "All you need to do is take that to a chemist over there and they can fill it. You won't have any trouble. Your medicine is easily obtainable". Good news I thought, and thanked him for his time. Soon enough I was overseas and though I had brought extra medicine with me, I wanted to sort out getting my medicine there. However each chemist I went to said I couldn't get my medicine without a doctor's prescription, and anyway they don't stock that particular one in the UK. Additionally, I'd have to wait at least three months before I could see a doctor. Oh dear, this is not good, so I contacted the Beenleigh Family Practice to find out if I could get another prescription from them filled (and have a friend post it to me) so I would have enough to last me until I got my situation worked out. Several messages to them went unanswered, and when they finally did make contact it was to tell me that they couldn't help. I had naively believed what their doctor at told me, but he was clearly wrong in his advice. As time went by and my medicine began to run out, I kept pleading with them to help, but they either ignored me or suggested it was all my fault for not organising things better. At least they could have given me some quick advice on what to do over there; maybe there was some other medication I could try in the interim - but no, they just didn't care. Feeling worse and worse I had no choice but to return to Australia. I made a complaint to the medical ombudsman. Their report stated that the doctor in question had said that he never told me that I could get my medication in the UK. This is a complete lie. During my consultation with him before leaving, if he had said 'no, you can't get the medicine over there, but here are some options for you to investigate to help secure a supply', or 'you'll need to contact this or that department over there' etc etc, then I would have happily done so. But he didn't say anything other than, "All you need to do is take that (the document he printed out) to a chemist over there and they can fill it. You won't have any trouble. Your medicine is easily obtainable". So, not only did their doctor give me incorrect information, and lie later when questioned about it, but the behaviour of the management of the Beenleigh Family Practice was rude, uncaring and they treated me like I just didn't matter. They have shown themselves to be unprofessional, unreasonable and even dangerous in their behaviour and attitudes.

I am concerned, I have seen a couple of doctors at this practice.
Dr Boshoff for skinchecks, seems lovely.efficient, and lovely to talk to.
Dr Umesh Rawatt, first visit was good, discussed medical plan with nurse and how we would, make plans for specialists, xrays etc. As well as transfer records from old centre, Made me 3 physio appointments, and said come back when they are done. I did, weeks later.physio report had apparently not arrived, nor had my medical records, and Dr Rawat, claimed we had never discussed anything from above mentioned. It was very upsetting, i have a chronic back problem since birth, which has worsened over the years and will continue to do so, mostly i just deal with the pain, minimal meds for the problem, osteo arthritis meds, nurofen, occasionally panadine forte, i can only take one every now and then as they give me stomach cramps. Dr Rawat was very abrubt and rude, making me feel like I was just a nuisance and after 1 visit, claimed 'my problem was not a problem at all' so bad.that I walked out.
I made an appointment requesting a different Dr, she was unavailable, as usual, so asked who was available, receptionist Karen, was abrupt, said, Dr Nick Khanna, I agreed, on this visit, I mentioned my experience with Dr Rawat, and said I was upset because i needed a Dr that was proactive and caring, Dr Khanna, told me 'No, Rawat is a good Dr, I said not to me.then Dr Khanna proceeded to go into a mini rant about so many people just wanting drugs, and it happens too often, mind you.i had not mentioned medication, and was there for kidney problem. I felt like he was accusing me of something, and left feeling like i was just called a junkie, (in lesser words) and told my feelings and medical problems are invalid, which is apparently what i am gonna be, with no care or treatment from any doctors.an jnvalid.are they all this incompetent uncaring and money grabbing? What ever happened to bedside manner? I have appointment with dr boshoff for skinchecks follow up, not sure where to go from here, feeling hopeless, some days i can not stand, I'm in constant pain, and spent 5 years with a doctor that did nothing about my ongoing condition, and now this. Feeling down and ready to give up. Probably be easier to get put down like a feral dog.even they get treated better. ‍

Never returning to this clinic. I have seen several doctors at this clinic over the years but can't say I am confident with any of them. Dr Bathini was the only thorough intelligent doctor they had but has now left the clinic and is practising too far away. Clinic has gone downhill since the new premises move. Some of the reception staff are quite rude.

Lovely doctors…poor time management…I had organised a mental health plan for about a month which had been cancelled 4 consecutive times after only an initial consultation. I arrived to my appointments 10-15 mins early for the sessions that hadn’t been cancelled which resulted with me being called upon up to 30-40 mins after my scheduled time.

Been a regular patient at this practice for close to 5 years; for the last 2 years this practice has been nothing but a waste of time. Waiting over an hour for a booked appointment, the reception staff are always rude when voicing your concerns. Used to be my favourite doctors office but will not be returning as every experience has been the same lately. These doctors just don’t listen to your health concerns, they’ll make you feel stupid and invalidated.

The new reception staff are so kind and friendly and really went above and beyond.
Ive read a few bad reviews but my experience was nothing like what ive read.
The Drs are very thorough and attentive. Will be a new practice for the family.

Went to a few GP's in this area. Met a GP called Dr Nic. Very through and too a detailed history and explained why certain medication are addictive and not good for my body long term. Did not just write a repeat script and push me out like others have been doing. I had a good Christmas and would suggest my friends to see him

My mother is a long term client of this practice. Rang up and couldn't get an urgent appt due to a Health issue she has, she only needed a script for antibotics as she is awaiting a letter from the hospital for a procedure. Without the antibiotics she could end up in hospital!
Mum's treating doctor not available, mum took a phone consultation as the next best thing

Dr Nik Khanna called at 8.30am and proceeded to yell at my mother over the phone saying he needed to actually see her. Mum said I have tried but the clinic is always booked out, and its urgent that she gets the antibiotics.
If he actually checked her file, he'd see that she was given antibiotics not long ago and he'd see that her doctor has already put in a request for further investigations at the local hospital.

He even suggested she go to another practice!
Why would she do that when all of her medical history is at this practice?
I think Dr Nik Khanna needs to get better bedside manners!
Poor performance Dr Khanna.

Mostly a great clinic but this week my doctor had no appointments so I was sent to see Dr. N Khanna, the most pathetic excuse for a doctor a have ever encountered, took all of two minutes to get to the core of an ongoing back issue and prescribed Voltaren, no not like I've ever tried that. And after being told on Monday there were no appointments until Thursday at the clinic, he refused to back date my medical certificate for work, you shouldn't even be a doctor.oh he did get me to put my clinched fist between my knees, to judge my back pain, yep, real winner you got there

I have been to a lot of doctors surgeries and haven't found one quiet like this clinic. The receptionist's are amazing, Karen is the most caring & understanding person I have ever met. Rowena has such an infectious smile & super lovely, Samantha is very professional and sufficient. Best staff they have ever had, fingers crossed they never leave this clinic & doctors are superb as well. Will recommend this clinic to everyone. Just amazing
