Bearings & Power Transmission

I first went to BPT a couple of years ago to get a suitable worm drive gearbox for a plastic shredder project. Didn't really know what I wanted but by the time I left I did. Bought the gearbox and it worked just fine. The next time I saw them was for some timing belts and they even delivered the belts out to my house in Crows Nest! Yesterday I saw them about a ball screw problem. They took pictures and measurements and I have no doubt that they'll find a replacement somewhere. I rarely.very rarely give praise to anyone but I'll put my money where my mouth is for these blokes. They know what they're doing and they get the job done. I recommend them highly as the first port of call to anyone needing bearing or power transmission advice and equipment.

As a Farmer, breakdowns can be costly and usually occur at inconvenient times.

Recently, I needed bearings, seals and a few other parts to keep my mower conditioner operating to take advantage of perfect hay making weather.

A quick search of the web directed me to Bearings & Power Transmissions at South Street, Toowoomba. A phone call later and I was introduced to Daniel Martin. It was Saturday and I learned that the business doesn't normally open Saturdays.

However, Daniel's after hours greeting could not have been more polite and offered immediate assistance. I told Daniel the parts I needed and his quick response was that the business had all the bearings, seals and other bits I needed.

I explained I was and hour and three quarters away - 'not to worry' he said, 'I'll meet you there at 10.30am'.

The rest is history. When I arrived, Daniel had all my parts on the counter. I sprang a surprise on him requesting a spacer for a bearing assembly. Although he didn't have one on the shelf, he quickly fired up the lathe and cut me a perfectly sized spacer, while I waited!

The service was exceptional and the price was equally pleasing. I managed to get all the parts I needed, inexpensively, at one stop.

I have rarely come across such willing assistance. Old fashioned service, with a smile and surprisingly, the incredible array of stock they carry meant no costly delays in freighting parts in from Melbourne or other distant places. Because of the availability of parts and the willingness to supply even on a weekend meant I was cutting hay again that afternoon. I can highly recommend this business.

Have been dealing with the guys at BPT for awhile now and they have been able to help with every situation we have had. Most of our issues are beyond their normal stuff, but each time they have come through and helped us get back on track with no downtime.

More than double the price on the exact same bearing than there competition that I ended up purchasing from
