Australian Red Cross reviews
15Weird experience where I was seemingly mocked by the older lady serving for only buying 1 small item. Considering op shop customers are often under financial stress, I found her comments highly inappropriate.
Nice store, friendly staff. Interesting prices. Same price as new for well worn items. Cheaper to buy new, which kind of defeats the purpose.
Incredibly clean with high quality stock.
This place is completely unaffordable, not a rummaging store and missing the 'art of the hunt'
There is mainstream stock and other vintage stock at crazy prices.
If you are in need or a family needing help after the floods, this shop is not the place for you.
It is definitely a boutique store but I found a designer skirt at half the price at the opshop a few doors down. Instead of $50 I paid $25.
On 2 occasions a large woman pushed in front of me while I was trying to view stock only to realise later she worked there. I thought that was rude and unkind.
A very loud woman is heard telling other volunteers to "get me this or that quickly please". She literally talks at the top of her voice to regulars in exaggerated tones the entire time, ruining the shopping experience.
Very elitist vibe.
Underwhelming & unwelcoming.
Rarely find something I want to buy from here due to the prices. Often the items are more expensive than brand new.
I have occasionaly purchased from here, but has been a rare occasion.
Nice workers and clean but terrible prices soo expensive. For example a men’s jacket with scuffs very well worn is $120 and very worn pair of old boots $50!
Nice store, friendly people. But the prices of items are way too expensive. If your prices could be more like the rspca op shop down the road. I would happily buy from here
Awesome oppie! The store manager sharon is just absolutely fabulous.so warm and bubbly and kind hearted.more store managers should take tips from sharon.
This op-shop is the epitome of gentrification. It's an opportunity shop. This place destroys the whole meaning of that. This shop seems like it's trying so hard to be some quirky boutique but in reality they are selling used Miller's tops for $20, or worn shoes for $50. I don't understand the point? People who NEED to shop at op-shops can't afford it here, and people that can afford anything here are better off just buying it brand-new. The RSPCA op-shop just down the road is a thousand times better.
I found this to have the most number of brand name clothes compared to other op shops I've been to. Try your luck.
Service is ok.
Such a shame a lot of thrift shops no longer have bargains. So many of my friends agree if we wanted a boutique we would go to one. I now will be donating to second hand stores at lest I will be helping them make an honest living.
A little bit more expensive that your usual op shop but it also has some amazing finds - it’s my go to for brand name shirts and shorts/ jeans that are at a decent price. A lot of the really good stuff is hidden away which is a bit of a shame and some of the racks and shelves are overstuffed with clothes and bric a brac but there are some definite steals to be found if you take the time to look for them.
Shop is small with only limited options. Staff needs to improve with their "friendliness" skills. Some items are pricey for its actual value.
Best best Op shop ever.great goodies best prices the lovely staff wash and iron the clothes xx LOTS OF BRAND NEW STOCK.caitlin
Place is small. Need to rearrange the shelves better. Some of the good items are not seen right away by the customers. The book shelves are cramped up and need more space. Some books are too dusty and worn out and should not be sold anymore. When I went there the staff didn't acknowledged me but acknowledged the other customers. Rating them low due to the staff, price and good sold. I went there as a possible customer and the proceeds for my purchases are for charity however I was put off by staff.
