I just had to visit the Smithfield Post Office for a passport renewal. I’m so impressed with the service I received from Lani. Friendly, kind, efficient, and accurate with great customer service skills! It was an all round excellent experience!

I recently had a wonderful experience at the post office in Smithfield. The level of service I received was exceptional, and I wanted to share my positive review. I had forgotten to make an appointment to apply for my son's passport, and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get it done in time. However, the manager of the post office went above and beyond by fitting me into their already busy morning schedule. I was so grateful for their flexibility and willingness to accommodate my needs. The staff was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. They guided me through all the necessary paperwork and made sure that everything was filled out correctly. Not only did they provide efficient and speedy service, but they also made me feel at ease during what could have been a stressful situation. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. The post office in Smithfield truly exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of passport assistance or any other postal needs.

The staff are ALL lovely, helpful, and friendly. I really appreciate the text and email notifications of when I have mail to collect. Thank you!

Big thank you to Lani for staying back almost an hour after her knock off time to process the passport application. We came in during peak hour without an appointment, and she stayed back to process the application when we said we are fine to come back another day. Always a pleasure coming into do business in this post office, as they are always cheery and happy to help

I have an australia postoffice closer than smithfield to my house however I still choose to head to smithfield. Awesome.

I had a very negative review about this post office in the past, however recently it has become infinitely better. It appears the old grumpy staff member has left and is not occupied by absolute lovely staff members such as Lani! Couldn’t be happier. Great service and great friendly vibes! Good job Smithfield LPO!

After politely correcting one of the elderly workers that my child was a boy not a girl, she responded harshly with "he looks like a girl so who cares". Extremely rude lady. I most definitely care, she could have quiet easily just apologised and left it at that.

I had my children's passports and my renewal lodged here and the ladies were so accommodating and friendly! I also had my children's passport photos done here as well and the lady that took them was so wonderful and friendly with the kids and put us all at ease. Highly recommend this post office for processing passports

In the past, I’ve experienced very poor customer service from the staff here. However, I came in today for a passport renewal and they made it super easy for me and were very happy to help! Both the manager Lani and the other lady working were very lovely and courteous! So happy to see this change:)

So this is an edit to an old review. I experienced some of the worst customer service a few years ago in this post office. Since then the main offenders have been ‘moved on’ and recently I have had the pleasure of interacting with the new store manager Lani. She was courteous, respectful and mildly cheeky. All staff members here are lovely to deal with now.

Love the super helpful staff here, they are always so friendly and accomodating. Customer service is exceptional. Great location with lovely gifts too.

Went there with my passport renewal form and pictures.
The lady who served me didn't know how to do this and got another college for help.
Her first respond was that she thought the pictures were not the right size, after verifying they were. Next, she thought the quality was very poor and there was a line across the picture and my face. I could not see this line at all! (pictures been done at Office Work for passports). She refused to accept the pictures but offered to take new ones at the Post Office.
I left feeing absolutely traumatized. Went later that day to the Post Office in town at Sheridan Street. Very friendly service, no problems with my passport pictures or anything else. No one else I asked could see the lines across the pictures and my face either.
First and last time to use the service of this Post Office.

Have really turned a corner in the past few years. Had really good experiences with them and cannot complain.

Smithfield Post office I give them 10 out of 10 love the new layout nice and bright. The staff are brilliant couldn't do enough for me also very polite.

Just recently opened a PO box here and the staff particularly Lani was so incredibly helpful. She even showed me where they were all located and how to access them (its my first time opening a PO Box so I didn't know anything). It's so good that the staff are so helpful and have a wonderful positive attitude, since I will be routinely picking up and posting items through this PO. It just makes the whole experience a pleasant one! I don't know how it was in the past, but now with Lani as the manager it is a really wonderful Post Office to go to!
