25 Unfortunately, I agree with the many comments regarding the short lady with brown hair. I went in to get my passport renewed and she was downright rude and unwilling to listen. I left the store nearly in tears.
I would never be allowed, nor would I wish, to speak to people the way she spoke to me, in my job.
She is paid to provide customer service and that comes with the skill of being capable of treating people like human beings. If she cannot do that, she should find another line of work!
I am very upset with this staff member and her lack of compassion towards people, and I would only return to this branch if you paid me a lot of money.
Such a shame for the other lovely staff members that have to put up with her tripe!
I now know why Aust post isnt doing well. Service leaves alot of questions. Tuesday, I posted registered mail (important) that should of been delivered by Thursday/Friday. It wasn't. Site said it was still at redcliffe. It was being processed on Saturday. Its now Tuesday 8 days later and still being processed I could of delivered this myself within an hour. But wanted it recorded.
I have to disagree with Terry about the reviews about the ‘one particular’ female counter assistant. (? Deb). People have rightly expressed their opinions and to me they’re substantiated by there being so many reviews that are similar.
My experience with the ‘older, short, brown haired lady’ has been consistent the past 4 years. She is unsmiling, unfriendly and unpleasant in her manner. I have observed her speaking very curtly to customers.
I’m quite happy to give a cheery Good Morning but ultimately she is the person employed to give service to customers. Yes, it would be a demanding job, but that is what she is employed to do. A pleasant, helpful attitude is your best asset to prevent or diffuse any challenging interactions.
Quite frankly, it’s “shorty” who could do with the glass of champagne, it might mellow her!
Why has Australia post not removed this person she is a savage old lady that trie’s to make everyone’s day as bad as her life is the rest of the staff are great and would be even better if she wasn’t involved at all
I've read many judgemental reviews here aimed at one particular lady at Redcliffe Post Office. Perhaps a good morning/afternoon etc towards her with a little love and compassion inc a
smile may be a good start to her day (and yours to)! Difficult job counter-serving customers copping unfair abuse on a regular basis. I find her knowledgeable, efficient and helpful without expectations of having the red carpet rolled out with a glass of champaign upon entry.
Unfortunately I agree with all the comments re the one person that lacks customer service. We all know who we are talking about. Suggest a back of house job rather than at the counter. If you want good service, try Woody Point instead.
There is a grumpy short lady with brown hair who has the worst customer service skills I've ever seen. She is down right rude and hateful. Australia Post needs to remove her from their employment, as you can see for over 3 years people have been complaining about her terrible customer service.
If you want great service go to literally ANY other post office!
Hi I am not happy with same of the staff does not understand me. I sent a lot in the mail. And I send a lot of box of chocolates and the Australian post and the people in the Burpengary one said if you ask at anyone to put Keep out of sun their will do it. The ones at Redcliffe was not going to do it. And their said you have got the address it was not right and I said it is right because I have been in to 4KQ. And I would take it in but because of cover 19 I send it by mail.
One Star because of the rudeness of just one staff member, an older lady with short brown hair.
She is horrendously rude and just a horribly miserable and grumpy person.
I feel sorry for the staff members who have to work with her; she obviously makes a very toxic and uncomfortable work environment.
The females on duty 4th March 2022 3pm are very rude, unprofessional and no customer service. I agree with the other reviews about the short one. You need to remove her from the store. My mum refuses to go here for many years.

The shorter lady with dark hair is nothing but unpleasant to deal with, possibly the rudest person I’ve dealt with.
Totally agree with the comments below about that grumpy old short woman who works in this branch. Having experienced her unpleasantness, & lack of understanding with my lost parcel. Today I dealt with another staff member who miraculously found my parcel with no problem what so ever. I then advised the Manager of the branch about her attitude & she will be addressing the issue. Let's hope this lady get rid of her attitude & starts to be more professional & pleasant in the future.
The short lady honestly has no customer skills and is the rudest person I've dealt with in customer service. I had a notification left at my door for a parcel to collect around 10am just missed delivery note said i could collect after 4pm but around 1pm i received a notification to my phone saying my parcel was ready for pick up from the store.
She told me my parcel wouldn't be ready for collection till after 4pm as it states that on the drop off card i informed her i received a notification to my phone it was ready to be collected she told me aus post wouldnt do that and virtually i was lying and was refusing to check to see if my parcel was there after bickering back and forth then showing her the notification she finally went to check and sure enough like magic my parcel was there.
This isn't the first time she's been rude and unprofessional i honestly prefer to go to the other post office in my area and honestly wish the mail man would drop parcels there instead of here so i could be done with this place completely.
Deb has to be the most rudest incompetent piece of work I've ever met. She is continually rude to customers, rude to other staff members. She obviously can't read or follow aus post procedure. She gives out your parcel to the wrong people and then argues that she didn't when she obviously did. Then she walks off and leaves it with another (extremely helpful lady, thank you Rachael) like it's not her problem. Then she says well hopefully the other customer brings it back. Why is she still employed? , she has no customer service skills. I've watched her be rude to the elderly and its obvious she makes other staff uncomfortable around her. No one should have to walk on egg shells. I would say she hates her job and wants everyone to know it. Im not sure what that says about Australia post as an employer.
The short dark hair lady seems to on a roll with many customers, judging by the reviews!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Go to Margate Post office instead: lovely family owned business, super helpful staff.
I am a regular at the Redcliffe Post Shop the service was so rude from one lady (shorter lady) I refuse to go in there anymore other than Parcel pickup door where the service has always been professional and efficient
The shorter lady with brown hair is the rudest person i have encountered at a post office. Every encounter has been unpleasant, and her attitude is abhorrent. The smallest requests seem to be the biggest inconvenience, and patronizes customers when they don't know something, when it is her job to assist. Do not go to this post office if you are after good customer service, because you will not find it here!
The other ladies who work here are very helpful and it is a pleasure dealing with them.
I have had ongoing dealings with the shorter, brown-haired lady for about five years now as the business I work for deals with them on a weekly-basis. At first I chalked up her bad attitude to perhaps having a bad day, but after horrible encounter after horrible encounter, I have decided to finally leave a review. For someone in a customer-service based job, she refuses to help anyone, constantly responds with sarcastic, rude remarks and makes any little query you ask seem like the biggest issue. I am not usually one to leave a bad review but after her constant bad attitude, I did think it necessary to leave one. If possible, go anywhere but here if you need to go to the post office!
I purchase a lot of items on line especially around Xmas time. Address is "Granny flat out back" 5 Hibiscus Ave. Previous postman ALWAYS left items as per address. Outback is SECURE. The last 7 items were returned to the post office - 4 of those i was told had already been picked up? Please leave ALL packages at the address - Granny Flat out back
Most of the girls there are very nice but there’s one woman that missed quite a few customer service classes. She always manages to rub me up the wrong way. I don’t think she’s happy in her job because she rarely smiles and sighs a lot, like everything is too much trouble. I hate when I’m in a queue there, It always works out that i go to her counter. It can ruin my day. I asked for passport photos one day and instead of coming out to the front and pull down the the backing blind, she just took the photo over the counter. She is so short that the pics looked dreadful, really close up and low down. What a waste of money. Thankfully, the other ladies are lovely.
