Atherton Tablelands Visitor Information Centre reviews
22We visited & a very helpful man marked up a map of the sights, and told us about a range of sights & walks, more specific than the tourism websites. We followed his advice & had a wonderful couple of days in the area.
Volunteers are knowledgeable, engaged, up to date and take your personal circumstances in consideration when giving advice. We wanted to see animals in the wild and hike on a low budget. Got advice where to stay on a budget, where yo see platypus and tree kangaroos (which we both saw within an hour), which hikes suited us and which ones not and how to approach them
The lady that we spoke to there gave us so much information about attractions on the Tablelands, also where and how to get there.
I highly recommend visiting the Information centre for all your travel on the Tablelands.
The staff at the Centre and very helpful and full of knowledge and recommendations. If you have any relatives who have served in the 2nd World War and based in this area Nicole is a wealth of information on how to trace their history. Well done ladies.
Staff could not be anymore helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us quite a few more suggestions on where to visit
When I visited Cairns during the rainy season, I stopped by this town while watching the rain cloud radar and moving appropriately so as not to get wet in the rain.
Is it a place called a rural town without a distinctive feature?
The scenery along the way was wonderful.
Unable to access due to power outage but at least they left maps and pamphlets on a stand outside
Very helpful and knowledgeable lady looked after us. We were overloaded with maps and information (in a good way)
Staff were friendly polite and had such knowledge of local information than what you could find in a brochure. One of the best informations I have been to.
A big thank you to Jim at the Atherton Tablelands Visitor Centre on the morning of Saturday the 6th of March 2021. Jim is a gentleman and a real pleasure to speak to as he was extremely well versed in all the places one should visit while exploring the tablelands. Jim, your recommendations were spot on, in particular the waterfalls, lookouts, and volcanic craters. Thanks again, cheers!
The best, best information centre I have visted.been there twice 4years APART and still friendly, and helpful like the first time I was there.
They definitely know what their talking about.
And there is an awesome pub just across the road.
Definitely the place to stop and get recommendation on places to see. We got a map of places to see and directions on roads and tips on other attractions. Staff at the centre were helpful, and genuinely caring.
This area is packed with things to do, so this information point is a good way to get some local tips. Friendly staff.
Staffs were nice, patient and considerate. They helped us to plan routes and save us all lot of time.
Excellent service at this Visitor Information Centre. The lady at the front desk went out of her way to provide information and brochures on bird watching in the region. Your kind help was very much appreciated, thank you.
Manager at hallorans leisure park was rude, unhelpful, / all i wanted was 2 nights camping there, worst person i have come across in a caravan park, and i have been to loads
No crazy, city traffic. Wonderful customer service all around town. Friendly, helpful people everywhere. And it's so easy to find a car park anytime
Friendly, helpful staff and plenty of infomation on local attractions, accommodation options, restaurants and take-away food outlets.
Atherton Tablelands has a lot to offer. My favorite place to visit is the Milla Milla falls circuit. From Cairns we drove through the rainforest road to Atherton and picked up a map at the Tourist Info Center to Millaa Millaa Falls. They marked up the map for us with points of interest including a great lunch spot. We returned along the coast after a wonderful day of sightseeing.
