Asylum Nightclub

Pretty poor nightclub. Advertise as free entry then force you to pay $8 so you get a drink discount which is like $1 off per drink lol. Also they like to not take cash or if they accept it they won’t give you change cause can’t be bothered to go to another til if they don’t have correct amount. But also they don’t know how to add cause they didn’t do maths at schools. Might I add, out of the people I have seen staying or in surfers the past few days happen to be on holidays and from overseas so will most likely have cash. For people who are 18 this is actually money. No wondering they make money as they hire very young adults so can pay them peanuts. Bar staff constantly rolling eyes and have poor Attitude. If you don’t want to do the job just quit there is more that 20% of the country unemployed at the moment who would love your job. They use cool lighting effects to take away the poor DJs and atmosphere who play off there Spotify playlist and steal other mixes from DJs good luck on the day you get sued. It’s a very tacky place and won’t last long like most Gold Coast night clubs.

“NO, I DON’T NEED IT, I WON’T ACCEPT IT” the BARTENDER says when I paid some LEGAL AUSTRALIAN TENDER COINS to pay for my drink. I’ve never seen a business that refused my CENTS coins until last night and that’s disappointing. Bought two rounds of drink and the FIRST lady bartender accepted my coins, whilst the second round denied my coins. Upon exiting I spoke to the MANAGER, which did not really help much at all and disregarded our concern. Quick note, Im only even using 40cents as payment but they wont accept it.

After the event, we went down the PUB called WAXXY’s IRISH PUB, and they humbly accepted more of my CENTS coin.

Security guards were very rude and unnecessarily violent. I do not recommend to visit this place.

It was one of the best nightclubs in the town. Lots of fun, music, and dance.
Full of the youths and energy.
Club crawl can be used to visit a few clubs, and you can be familiar with other chaps.
The energy on weekends is very special, as most of the guys go out to chill with the friends or in a group.

I wanted to celebrate my 50th birthday at Asylum with family and friends. We booked a booth and the booking part was great.
We entered the venue and before going in through the tunnels, there was a fight with a few customers and the security personnel. So the night started out pretty stressful.
Then we were show to our booth and there was a fancy entrance of our drinks.
The music was terrible! I've been to at least 200 clubs around the world and some here in Australia, but this has definitely been the worst music.
The floors were full of things that were sticking to my shoes. It was not clean and terrible.
Briefly, it was not a place that I would ever choose to celebrate anything ever again. It only gets 2 stars as the personnel were kind and friendly.

Geordie was extremely helpful with our booking and also very speedy rectifying a small issue we had. He was very responsive and overall very pleasant to work with. Best customer service we have had in a long time. I could not recommend him highly enough. The nightclub was a nice venue, a little on the quieter side for a Saturday night.

Dont trust this placey unfortunatly gotta paid 10bucks for an electroic night but nothing waa there, only promo fame club

Venue and music was good but missing infrastructure like arrangements and organise was too bad.if you invite Indians who ever organising party’s, they have a arrange some things to Indians. Example, that particular venue is suitable for 100 people but they invited more than 300 people, obviously it make people inconvenience, security issues, no place to stand and lit of drama’s.

Empty on a Friday night - clubs nest door much better. Only saving virtue is that you can let the receptionist write a 5 star review on your phone rather than pay a cover charge

Went to the club with my friend on Wednesday.we both had only two beers at home, we were let in and I went to the toilet, was supposed to meet my friend at the bar and I couldn't find him, I rang him and he was taken out. My friend talks loud and is always chatty to bar staff, the girl tender asked the security to take him out. We started a discussion and security were pushing us down the stairs, just ridiculous. Make my life easier and refund me as we stayed less than 5 minutes inside otherwise I will take this issue further to court. Ridiculous place

I did not like this place because my id did not have an expiration date, the security men did not let in me, so in the other bars they had never bothered me because of my id

Nice club. Great interior and good Music. Because the COVID there is not allowed dance inside. Definitely come next time to enjoy it.

New Years Eve had to be the biggest and best party i have ever seen. The layout of the club, the lighting and audio systems are unmatched by any other club on the coast. Very friendly staff and lots of areas to sit down even if you don't have table service.

Visited from Sydney a few weeks ago and was looking for somewhere to go out! Nathan I believe his name was, was extremely welcoming and helpful. Customer service on his part went above and beyond. Had a really fun night overall

NYE was great! Gotta say that bar supervisor Keeley can make an amazing cocktail I’ll be out everynight

Crazy new club on the gold coast unlike anything ive ever seen.drinks were really well priced and staff were amazing. I recommend the blood bag cocktails! YUMMY! Must see place if your on the Gold Coast or passing thru

Such a good venue, great atmosphere. The opening night was amazing! Highly recommend for a good night out!
