Dr Chen and his team are very attentive and supportive. I have had 1 procedure here and it's been about a week, so far so good in terms of the results and expectations. I would recommend Dr Chen and his services.

One of my best decisions to book in smart lipo with Dr Chen. Finally got rid of stubborn fat that wouldn't budge. He has done an amazing job. Procedure was easy enough- needed a bit of help getting out of bed for the first few days but very manageable with minimal bruising. I just wish I had done in sooner!

I had an upper blepharoplasty performed by Dr Chen last week. During my initial consultation with him he explained the procedure very thoroughly and patiently answered all of my questions. I liked Dr Chen immediately which is very important to me. The procedure was a success and I was treated really well by Dr Chen and the staff at Ashbury Clinic. The post op care of my eyes was extremely important so as not to get any infection and I followed the instructions that were given
Dr Chen did a wonderful job and it is fantastic to actually see my eyelids. I can't thank him and his lovely staff enough for their care and kindness.

I am in my early 50s and my friends used to ask me why I look so tired or whether I was sick. I tried not looking in the mirror too much but I started to noticed my turkey neck and my jowls in some close up photos. My upper eyelids looks heavy and wrinkles are getting more prominent with years of sun damage.
I was getting tired of botox treatment that doesn't last and not giving me the result that I want. So when of my friends told me of the fantastic results she had with Dr. Chen, I decided to have something more permanently done. Dr. Chen performed a Mini-facelift and necklift to get rid of my jowling and turkey neck. At the same time I also had upper blepharoplasty done for my droopy eyelids and Erbium laser resurfacing for the wrinkles around my mouth and eyes area. The recovery was faster than expected and I can hardly find the incision as they are so well hidden behind the ear. Dr. Chen attention to details is impeccable. My best friend thinks I look 10 years younger. My work mates commented that I looked so refreshed and they didn't even realise I had surgery done as the result look so natural. I am so happy with the result that I came back to have permanent filler Aquamid into my lips so that I don't need to keep getting those normal fillers every 6 months.
Also special thanks to Ashbury clinic nurses Maureen and Nicole who had been so caring and reassuring to a nervous freak like me. Jean the practise manager was also super nice and professional.
The bonus thing is that these treatment that I had are permanent and will last me for years and hopefully I can be in the workforce for another 15 years.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think Dr Chen was blindfolded when he performed my surgery. I am taking legal action in order to try to recover some of the cost of the revision surgery that I'll need. He took no responsibility for his terrible work and has lied both to me and the Health Practitioner Regulation Agency in an attempt to dodge consequences.

Just to further confirm what a dishonest person he is, when I wrote a negative review on the ratemds web page it was removed straight away. I contacted ratemds to find out why and found out Dr Chen pays for a subscription that allows him to remove a certain amount of negative reviews. I've been monitoring this page and every time a negative review pops up it's quickly removed and replaced by a glowing review of Dr Chen which coincidentally sounds very similar and uses the same poor grammar as all the other glowing reviews.

If you're as silly as I was and you're going to have Dr Chen perform your surgery, my advice would be to get absolutely everything in writing so he can't lie if anything goes wrong, and to keep copies of all of your consent forms and documentation. I lost mine and Dr Chen / the Ashbury Cosmetic staff kept giving me the run around and telling me my file was missing. Strangely enough the file magically reappeared when they had to respond to the Health Practitioner Regulation Agency after I lodged a complaint.

I can't imagine how anyone could have a bad experience at Ashbury clinics. Ive been to the Mount Gravatt, Gold Coast and also Windsor clinics at various stages over the years. All have lovely staff, helpful and polite. Dr Chen has done my liposuction, botox, lasering and veins. Never have I had a bad outcome! My liposuction experience was one of the best things I've ever done. The stubborn pockets of thigh fat are no more and I now own and wear short skirts and shorts. I am saving up for my facelift and can't wait. Its still nerve wracking as we are all human but I have total trust in Dr Chen. There seems to be a clinic on every corner these days. In shopping centres, everywhere. But will they still be there in 20 years? Thats how long Ive been going to Ashbury.

I go to Dr James Chen for all my beauty needs. He does my veins and my legs are looking good enough to wear shorts! For the first time in my life!
He does botox in my neck for headaches and it really works. He has also treated my husbands ugly tattoo. Its almost gone and has worked better than we imagined. Thank you Dr Chen and Ashbury. We love that you guys are always professional and courteous.

I was recommended by a friend who had her varicose and spider veins treated successfully by Dr. James Chen at Ashbury Clinic years ago. I thought only surgery can fix my varicose vein but Dr. Chen treated both my varicose and spider veins with micro injections over 2 sessions. No Surgery. I just walk out of the clinic wearing a stocking and went shopping the same day. The veins faded over the next couple of weeks. I would have it done earlier if iI knew it was not that painful. Thanks Dr. Chen for your patience and attention to detail.
I was so happy with the result that I came back for Botox and Laser mole removal.
