Went 2 weeks ago for a 40th birthday celebration.
Unfortunately very disappointing all round.
We were looking forward to a fun celebration. In booking notes, stated it was a 40th birthday, told the chef, who just said 'happy birthday' and that was it, no other recognition for birthday celebration, singing, or scribing on hot plate at the end. (Although 2 other tables did whilst we were there? !)
Selected teppanyaki sea scallops. Cost $45. Got a bowl smaller than a ramekin of salad, miso soup and plain rice. The rice was clearly cooked and pre bowled some time before as it was hard and dry on the outside.
I got 6 sea scallops and no grilled vegetables even though the menu said was included.
The cocktail at $20 was basically fruit juice with red syrup.
I pre booked online, requiring a high chair. When we got there, table not ready, no high chair. Asked for knife and fork, nothing ever arrived.
Used our own from the kids bag.
All in all just disappointing

It was an amazing first experience and the food was delicious whilst the entertainment was lively. Jason, our chef was lovely and charismatic. The whole experience was amazing and was a perfect way to celebrate our holiday!

Had a wonderful time during our dinner reservation, BeBe our chef did an amazing job entertaining our group and made incredible food for all. Would recommend to others.

Jason was fabulous. Funny entertaining and enjoyed the while experience I thought the main banquet was to expensive at 136 per person.

For lunch today we were served by the very talented Jason. The prawns and barramundi were fresh and delicious, the performance was impressive and very entertaining, and the service was prompt and friendly.
A must-see for tourists on the Gold Coast.

Didnt know what to expect but was fairly surprised and very entertaining. Food was good but the place was great. On and off street parking near by. Toilets shared with other retail stores. Worth the experience.

We celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday dinner at Asami as a large family group. We were greeted and taken to our table by the manager Rowena who provided warm and friendly service. Chef Neil was amazing and interacted very personally not just to the birthday girl but to us all and made our evening that bit more special. We had a wonderful night and highly recommend eating here. Will definitely be back. Thanks Asami

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Street parking. Lots of options on the menu. Vegetarian options. Yummy cocktails! Expect to spend $50-$100 per person. Recommend booking.

What a great night out for dinner, celebrating my 50th Birthday. Huge shout out to Bishmo (hope I spelled it right) who made this night out even more amazing. You kept the energy flowing while cooking up a storm and showing us a spectacular time. Fresh, tantalising and so delicious food. Thank you to all the staff who made our night special.

Pretty disappointing experience, we went for a birthday party.
From the start it felt like disorganised 'cattle class'. The table setup for the group was not good and trying to pay at the end of the night was a bl**dy nightmare.

The positives were the entertaining chef (although he was having a clumsy night, glasses smashed and food flicked over diners, they saw the fun side tho), the taste of the food was not bad (poor for the birthday girl as there was no vegetarian option)

Negatives, the pay-till staff were totally disorganised and downright rude at times. The place was very expensive for what we received.

Ujjwal (Jason) was brilliant! So entertaining yet professional. An amazing night celebrating our fabulous Tupperware leadership team!

Had an amazing experience with our chef “yeah boi” Jason. 10/10 meowing. Was fairly convinced he was a cat in a chef costume halfway through. Couldn’t tell the difference but nonetheless the food was amazing. Yours truly -

Things to keep in mind:

- parking is a bit of pain around the area, not the fault of the venue.
- on warmer days/night expect to sweat
- no toilets onsite, you’ll be given a key to the Q1 facilities

This review is reflective of our experience a couple weeks ago. Food was delicious, but we waited an HOUR to finally be waited on - no drinks, no taking orders, nothing. Our reservation was at 6: 30pm and it was not until 7: 30pm that we finally got food and cocktail orders taken. When our family came 10mins late to our reservation, they were told to wait outside because our table had not been prepared. On their website it says after 15mins they no longer hold the reservation, but the fact it had not even been organised was extremely poor. Do not recommend coming here if you’re wanting a positive experience.

Not sure why the rating is so high… I thought the food was average and very pricey. The whole eventful things the chef did was …too over the top. Chef wasted a lot of rice and food by throwing them at us…

Jason was sooo good! He totally looked after us and made it an awesome and super fun experience for our whole group. Thank you Jason!
