Arcade Box reviews
27Great place to go have unlimited plays with time plans. Definitely take 1h gaming. Group pricing too. Definitely a coming back.
Disappointed! The older machines are neglected. Tales of the crypt (which is for sale), top right flipper doesn't retract fully and shoots very weak (buyer beware), Adams family, some lighting on upper playfield doesn't work, making it hard to see at night. Super Mario brothers swallowed $4 (or equivalent in tokens) dropped first ball of each 2 players, with no flippers working, then reverted to a 1 player mode, so got 2 functional balls for $4 (therefore major electrical problems there). Newer machines seemed to work OK but showing signs of wear (suggest a good wax and clean of playfields), Tried VR pinball, confusing to use, hard to see ball, backboard screen not functioning and nudge sensor didn't seem responsive.
Seems like the attendant hides out the back because he doesn't want to deal with the malfunctioning machines, or "make good" on people's bad games experiences. We left, feeling ripped off cheated and disappointed (kinda like flying Jetstar!).
As an experienced pinball player who spends at least 3 hours per week on "arcade time", sadly it won't be at this arcade. Instead, a growing group of mates, drive 100 kilometre round trip to Nambour every week for our pinball fix. Sorry Arcade Box, it's a no from me/us.
A nice little arcade shop in Coolum I visited on Sunday 21 of may retro, modern games and a nice collection of skateboards for sale only con is I’ve kept tripping over a dog that was in here thought dogs weren’t allowed in shops?
Great little arcade with plenty of the older stuff for us 40+ year old's who grew up with these games. Will def be back for some more gaming.
A very cool place to take the kids and have a blast from the past! Pinball machines, retro games to play and even virtual reality! If your in to skateboarding there’s plenty to see as well!
Fun place to bring the family. Plenty of awesome arcade games for the young and old! Defenitly somewhere I would suggest visiting
Honestly it's so cute and small and you get a fair amount of bang for your buck. Theres a air hockey board and lots of pinball and arcade machines which will keep you entertained for a couple of hours at least. Loved it: D wished there was a little more variety
Had so much fun playing all the pinball machines, especially my personal favourite the Addams family pinball, plenty of machines to chose from plus their set to using tokens, reminds me of how arcades used to be only using coins and the excitement you get we you find a free coin. Great atmosphere & lovely service, highly recommend heading down & checking this place out!
Any pinball arcade that offers the Addams Family will always get me in! Convenient token machine, nice selection of pinballs and other vintage games make for a varied experienced. I noticed the staff member on board last Saturday was really helpful and welcoming-thanks for the great customer service. A fun place to spend an arvo!
Thanks Arcade Box so much for providing such a fun experience for our group of 8-12 year olds on Saturday. They had a really fun time and loved the games. Will be back again for sure.
Great location, lovely staff and really nice to do something different.
Best place in Coolum, Skateboard shop, Skateboard Museum and sweet retro gaming and pinball arcade with air hockey table, racing and a shooting game
Best skate shop and arcade in Coolum! Heaps of fun to be had, constantly changing machines. Super satisfied with my new board! Top quality Aussie boards and genuine gear, Indi, bones, venture to name a few
10/10 IGN
This place has pinball and video games co-located in a skate shop. All games are token drop. Games range from a selection of the latest Stern games to some older Gottlieb titles and even a No Fear. Worth checking out if you're in the area.
I was expecting more pinball machines as per the photos, the classics were a little old and dull.
A very unexpected but welcome surprise, an oldschool arcade with pinball machines and arcade games plus an oldschool skateboard shop, which also stocks current Australian skate brands, they're selling collectible decks and all the hardware you can ask for.
What a great step back in time! Bringing back the child in me from the 70s and 80s! Wow! Great wholesome fun for the whole family!
Some of the games weren't working but there is a decent range of games to play still and great fun for the kids, also awesome staff who brought out free chocolates for the kids so they had a ball
Who loves pinball, old school arcade and OG Skateboards?

Loved it, great collection and owned and operated by an enthusiast. Very reasonable prices and machines were in excellent condition.
Great place to relax, unwind, and have a bit of fun without breaking the bank. Great assortment of pinball machines from all eras. Well worth a visit.
