Aquila reviews
13Excellent store. Very impressed with the communication, professionalism and customer service of Sam in particular, as well as other store members.
Peter helped me pick out a great pair of shoes for a special occasion I have coming up. He definitely knows how to pick them out!
Great place to get high quality shoes. The Manager Peter really knows his stuff, and helped me out greatly. I highly recommend!
Peter was so helpful. I had to get a new pair of dress shoes for a wedding. Our new puppy had chewed my Dexter wing tips. Peter's product knowledge and sense of style proved useful and he made what was usually a difficult and time consuming decision for me very easy. So check out Aquila and ask for Peter. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!
Visited the store again recently and found the selection impressive, the new manager Peter was very helpful and friendly, will definitely visit again!
Ebony the manager of this store is hilarious, great fun buying shoes from DFO! I always find a bargain there! 5 Stars
Amelio and the ladies in Aquila are fantastic. Both attentive and extremely professional I leave not only satisfied but usually laughing and highly entertained. I have purchased almost 10 times and this is the only place I buy smart casual shoes. The quality is in line with the price and the aftercare is outstanding. I would highly recommend shopping with Aquila Brisbane DFO.
Ebony and Amelio. Legends! Took customer care next level, i bought 2 pairs of loafers and a belt. Wanted to use the afterpay option but i couldnt download the app so Ebony kindly grabbed her phone and let me sign in on hers. That on top of helping make an epic choice in shoes i couldnt be happier.thanks again
Terrible sales team. One says 20% discount across the range and the other says only on certain range. I found them to be unhelpful and not interested. I like the brand but not these guys in store.
15/7/2017 Went into get a refund on a manufacturers fault on shoes I had purchased from this store and I have brought numerous pairs of shoes from here in the past. The sales guy had told me he need approval from his state manager for this, he could give me a store credit or I could look in store to see if there was a suitable replacement for the shoes. I had a look in store, nothing similar or that I was interested in at the time so I went back to proceed with have my refund that I am entitled to under ACL.
At this point his manager who had spoken to the state manager got involved and was very rude and tried talking down to me like I didn't know my rights she asked if these were my only pair of shoes and tried to fob me off said I would have to leave the shoes there and upon inspection from there cobbler there was a 'chance' I might get a refund and to leave the shoes there and that was that, take it or leave it.
I had told her that the topee had been put on these shoes as recommended by their city store at the cobblers they recommended. The topee was like brand new such was the limited use of these shoes, which I also use ceder trees in daily, I store them in box when not in use and also regularly polish them to keep them in pristine condition.
During this time arguing what the manager didn't know about ACL, the sales guy re called the State manager again and had asked if I could have a look around some of the other shops and he would send pictures to the state manager to get a decision from her on the outcome. I went off and came back at which point he had 2 options for me a 'better' shoe or my refund processed for me. I took a look at the shoe on offer on the computer screen but they didn't have a picture in the colour they were offering, so I opted for my refund as I wanted to get another pair of shoes to replace these as I rotate all my dress shoes I have invested in to look after them.
I would never buy another pair of shoes from Aquila again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone in the future which I had freely given recommendations about in the past. The sales manager probably needs to be sacked or totally retrained by the State Manager and have the sales guy promoted as I couldn't fault the way he handled the situation and was upfront about what he was and wasn't able to do without a higher authorisation, but the sales manager had zero people skills and doesn't represent Aquila in a good light at all, her customer service was non existent, I have never experience service that poor from a manager before.
Never again will I purchase from this company.
I am a massive proponent of the importance of good customer service in any industry, particularly in retail!
I have purchased shoes from this store now on two separate occasions. The first of which, I was served by Amelio who was very helpful, polite, eager to assist where possible and ensured that I would always return to this store.
Amelio's customer service could only be trumped by the customer service provided by Jamie, who has assisted me as much as humanly possible in selecting the shoes for my Wedding. His service was exceptional - to the extent that I think others should follow him around with a notepad documenting how to treat customers.
Put simply - if I could rate higher, I would.
I walked into Aquila while pushing my son in a pram. The sales assistant, as a first remark, asked if I was "babysitting" today.
I'm his goddam dad. I do not baby sit my son. That remark nearly led to me walking out on the spot. She tried to be helpful after that, but I ended up deciding to not purchase from Aquila, at all, because of that remark. I'm very happy to take my business elsewhere.
Guess what. Dad's are parents too.
