Would like to compliment Kirsty for teaching my granddaughter Mackenzie to swim last week.
Kenzie was keen to get there and didn’t want to leave. Learnt heaps and will continue on.
Kirsty’s teaching skills were excellent and is very approachable
Many thanks
Grandma Julie

Made a complaint last term about my child being told to stay in the pool after all the other children had hopped out to finish a lap. The swim teacher kept telling him to go back and do the lap properly which resulted in tears. This is after I had approached the teacher twice in the lesson to tell them he was having a tough time at the moment and to just let him have a rest if needed (he has a disability - the teacher had him all term and knew this).

After returning from school holidays my son was placed with the same teacher. Within the first 5 minutes or so of the lesson my son was spoken to incredibly rudely by the teacher a number of times. When told to line up along the wall, he tried to tell the teacher there wasn’t enough space (there were 5 children in a single lane so he couldn’t get to the wall) but he was interrupted by the teacher saying “Zip It! I’m not having it today”. After hearing this I went to speak to the coordinator a short distance away to see if I could change class for him but I was rudely interrupted by the swim teacher in the pool loudly asking “is there a problem? ” over the top of the children in front of her. I said yes and an argument took place (I was saying children shouldn’t be spoken to that way) which resulted in the teacher loudly mentioning my child’s name and storming out of the pool while leaving the children with no swim teacher in the lane for a time (someone took over the class after this person had left). This all happened with a number of other parents and children around.

I have already spoken to the coordinator and it feels difficult that we now have to ensure my children no longer have this teacher. I was given no apology from the swim teacher for their behaviour.

Great school and best teaching method I've found. Laurie Laurence teaches the correct technique from the word go which is very different from other popular swimming schools.

Lessons are good pretty standard (we were in the baby class).
The school itself was a bit crowded all the time and people somewhat had to fight for space on the changing tables and also seats near their child’s lessons. In the summer it was stinky hot and not comfortable at all.

Price is fair but if you can’t make the lessons or need to cancel half way through best to check all that before signing up so no surprises.

Staff were mostly polite and friendly. Only had an issue with one person (swim teacher) but they were filling in and we didn’t have to deal with them for to long.

Improvements on communication with parents outside of the pool would be a bonus - such as how their child is doing, what the process is to move up or change class etc a lot this of as done in the pool where it was hard to hear plus you tend to have your child with you.
