Animal Welfare League Qld reviews
13Took my daughter to adopt a cat. The lovely lady spoke with us about what we needed and let us meet the perfect kitty for her family.
AMAZING STAFF, VOLLIES, FOSTER CARERS!
I have been fostering with them for over a year now, even tho I am from Toowoomba. Driving 1hr to pick up or drop off fosters doesn't worry me in the least to drive 1hr. Maybe even soon I will adopt a puppy from them. I know all of there animals are so damn well looked after. I recommend AWL over RSPCA anytime! They actually care about everyone; staff, vollies, the public, foster carer AND ofc their animals in the care. I 100% recommending to adopt, volunteer and foster for them! The photos you see are only just some of the amazing cats + kittens we have had. Have done puppies with them too! And I am even fostering 2 kittens for them at time (they arent in the photos haha)
I tried calling three times, to discuss my situation, all three times the call dropped out. Why?
So much for caring for animals, took my cat in today who we found paralysis ticks on, some rude lady lectured us for 10minutes saying we “inconvenienced” her all because we rushed our cat in 45minutes before closing, paid $130 for them to pull off one tick and give us a lecture during an already stressful time. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!
"The charter of Animal Welfare League Queensland's Community Vet Clinics is that no sick or suffering animal is ever turned away"
ABSOLUTE LOAD OF RUBBISH! COULDN'T EVEN GIVE ME ADVICE OR HELP WHEN MY BIRD WAS DYING! All I wanted was someone to tell me where I could get him help, you had nothing to say on the phone. Literally didn't give a care in the world. And to think I supported this place and you couldn't even give me some advice! I'm so heart broken.
We went to have a look at cats to adopt, as our Boris had been diagnosed with an aggressive firm of large cell lymphoma, and was euthanised. We had bought him from the AWLQ at Ipswich ten years prior as a two year old.
We visited the facilities, and spoke with the attendant there. She was able to match us up with a very affectionate cat that is perfect for our family. She was $180, which includes being fully vaccinated, witness, deserved and microchipped.
We paid an extra $10 for a cat box for the car, and they included her blanket she had used in the shelter to help her feel more at home.
Welcome home Moochie (the S is silent).
Such a quick, easy and stress free adoption process for my new cat. Went in there that morning and walked out an hour later with my new family member, and the staff were lovely. Would recommend over any pet shop!
Not actually for animals, money for the big guys and volunteers do all the work. All about the money unfortunately.: (
We adopted a dog.such an easy process. The staff could not have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit for your next pet.
Quilla, Alicia, and Nic were all incredibly helpful during the entire adoption process and were especially informative during our initial visits prior to adoption
Always enjoy taking my 7mth old pug to get his vaccination up to date. Always very wonderful staff.
The animal welfare league was a great place to visit and adopted kittens, cats, puppies and dog of all different breads
Watch the animal welfare.they are not cheap for all veterinary services. I had to pay $110 for a consult on a Saturday. My vet told me later that a consult on Saturday morning is only $58.what a rip off. Beware!
