Animal Welfare League Qld reviews
65The team here are doing an amazing job. It's never easy to see the animals at the shelter but I'm glad it exists. The team are friendly and helpful. The facilities are good and should be comfortable for the animals. The only minus would be there are lots of mozzies.
Fell in love with tortoise shell kitten "Kiki". She has been with us for 5 days and is ruling our hearts & home. Thank you all you wonderful people.
This AWL shelter is amazing well Al of them are but this is beautiful I went here for school electives because I was doing AWL and this was Amazing thank you to all the team how let us a Helensvale state primary school a big shout out to all the dogs and cats though they truly made my day
Caring volunteers throughout. Clean, light and airy enclosures. Beautiful cats well looked-after. I adopted a cat and she is purrfect
There is 1 woman at reception (no names as yet) who is so rude each time I speak with her. She sent me off to find one of the kennel staff with the persons name. They could be anywhere. The staff member then said she should be using the radio to contact them.
Clearly lazy and purposely not willing to help.
Does not set a good example for the younger staff and does not represent the centre with a friendly attitude.
Put her in a back room!
Really disappointing at the Goldcoast shelter. I’ve had such good experiences with all the other shelters and vets, but this one wasn’t it. I called before they opened to ask if some animals were still there and if I can pay over the phone, and Tracey was quite blunt and said if they’re on the website then they’re still here and I can’t pay over the phone. We drove 1 hour and got there 10 mins after they opened only to be told that they’ve been adopted, by the same woman I spoke to earlier. I then called after I left and she said that the website updates every hour, but the animals were still on the site. I then left a review on their Instagram page only to find out 10 mins later THEY BLOCKED MY INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT. I am only telling the truth about my experience to let others know before they want to adopt and drive all that way to be turned around. Please take my review into consideration and unblock my Instagram. I am so disappointed. This is only to the Goldcoast shelter.
Not too sure on the vet that looked at my staffy. Tried telling me he chews fences as teeth was a little worn didn't take in age of my dog and had to be told they were looking at the wrong tooth also I have colorbond fences so can't see how he chews fences. All he needed was antibiotics for his tooth but was not given this. Was told didn't need a dental clean but in qoute was charged for a dental clean don't think we be rushing back in any hurry.
The staff seemed to be very helpful, it's a very busy place, so many people going there with there pets, and much cheaper also.

Are the Best? ️?
Thankyou for looking after my Furbaby, OBI
He is a Mini pure Bullterrie
Your staff are so helpful kind & caring,
Thankyou so much xxoo
I gave her a point because there was no choice of zero. I am ashamed of their irresponsibility. Two days ago, my dog went to be vaccinated. By the way, I asked the doctor for the eye ointment that the dog used to use, because it was very helpful to the dog's eyes. After returning home, I applied it three times. In two days, the dog's eyes deteriorated. I just found out that the doctor gave me the wrong thing. It was same brand same size but different medicine. I want change today it today. They are not only rude but also say that the two ointment are only a little bit different. And in order not to admit that the wrong medicine is given. It makes no different. But actually my dog’s eyes getting worse. The eye ointment is Jurox brand, one l usually use for my puppy is Amacin. The one she give me is Tricia.
If the veterinarian sees it, do the two drugs are the same? Why does a brand produce two medicines with different names?
We recently fostered then adopted a little kitten through AWL. The people working here are kind and sincere. They have a passion for these animals and you can see it in everything they do.
These places are profit based and not really in the best interest of rehoming animals. If they were their prices would not be so inflated.
I love the AWL for all the amazing things they do but I was there today with my mum in the kittens area interested to see if we connected with the kittens to purchase when one of the workers with red hair was rude and gave us five minutes even though we told her we were interested but we might not get one today we are just waiting for the right kitten. The AWL is all about responsible pet owning and that cats are for life and not just for your own pleasure but she gave us 5 minutes to I guess choose one, I left very un-welcomed especially because I had just had my kitten pass away from a heart condition.
Amazing staff from Vets to reception an everyone inbetween, including volunteer's in opp shop an carers for the animals. Couldn't have asked for better care, attention an service to an for my beloved fur babies, both of them came from the animal welfare league in Warra an Coombabah. They make every effort to make the adoption an rehoming process simple, easy an offer as much assistance an help to make sure you an your new family member feel secure an confident about your decision to adopt an truly want nothing more than for you and your new family member to live happily together, bringing each other much joy, can not thank them enough
These guys are always amazing. There is nothing they won't do to make sure your pet is given the best care possible. Money isn't their main focus, our pets health is. Will always bring my pets here, regardless on travel.
Went to the Animal Welfare League to treat our sick cat. It's the second time I've been there and I can highly recommend them. All the staff are fantastic helpful and caring. The vets know what they are doing and explain everything. I would never go anywhere else. Thanks for looking after our most important family member.
We adopted our little baby girl from the AWLQ. Please choose to rehome an animal, they have a lot of love to give. Baby Cleo has made our lives so much brighter.
You would hope that they care for animals, but they can't respect basic human right playing the popula co.natzi games, discriminating entry based on personal data and trying to subject people for poltential harrasement and home imprisonment. This country become north korea because of such people
Have seen cat I want. Am out buying stuff for him. Will adopt him tomorrow if still there.otherwise get someone else
