A little disappointed with manager's rigid stance on wearing goggles.

My son learnt swimming in NT with goggles, in fact the teachers there encourages him to wear them. As a result he is now very used to it.

Management at the Baildon Pacific Pines Swim school insist that he takes off his goggles during class, however this made my son reluctant to go to swim school. This is from a boy who is initially enthusiastic to swim. It is now more like a chore to him now and currently we have a reasonable battle prior every class to convince him to go.

My wife proposed a gradual weaning of wearing goggles for my boy to the manager (Bellena?) but was met with very rigid resistance.

Bellena explained that It is safer for the kids to get used to no goggles so they can swim to the edge without it. This I understand and it is what we as parents aim for as well. However we don't agree with the methods. It is difficult to demand a 5 year old that he absolutely must not have goggles when previous teachers have actually encouraged him to wear them. He now does not want to go to lessons and to us this is more unsafe. For me it is safer for my son to learn some swimming initially with goggles rather than getting put off swimming all together by forcing him not to wear them.

We asked advice of staff from other Baildon school branches and they were open to a gradual weaning of the goggles without much resistance.

I called the manager and after a decent debate, management finally temporarily relent, but gave us a 1 month deadline for my son not to have goggles altogether. It is good that some flexibility is shown however I do feel that overall the stance was still quite rigid and off putting. We really do not feel that they are willing to work with us and we feel that the rules are being enforced upon us without consideration to our individual circumstances. We are considering moving our kids to another branch or another school altogether.

It's a shame, because we like the facility and the instructors.

Lots of parking, Great teachers, outstanding administration staff. The one & only Mrs Wendon coaches squad, worth her weight in gold.

Have been coming here almost 7 years and both my children love it. Very helpful and extremely knowledgeable staff who actually take the time to get to know you. Couldn’t be happier, thank you!

A big “thank you” to Bellena for going the extra mile organising our children’s lessons. You’re a super star! Your efforts have made my time at the pool with our 4 boys much more achievable. Once again “thank you”

Rude manager, charges a dishouner fee for writing a wrong number on a form, then the manager lies about the bank charging them the fee. Don't waste your time or money!

Great swim school, highly recommend. My 10 yr old son had done lessons since he was 3 yrs old with another school & his technique was so poor he almost didn't pass his preliminary swim for surf club nippers. We joined Superfish and within a yr he has made significant progress. I would never have thought he'd be able to achieve so much in such a short space of time. Think all the staff are great.

My children started their learn to swim
Journey 2 and a half years ago at the pacific pines superfish with no water safety skills at all. They are now confident, happy and safe swimmers who are excelling in their classes. The facilities are lovely and staff work really hard to help the children master the skills they need! My kids love it when Mr Andrew visits and from a parents perspective it is wonderful to see him acknowledging them and their swimming! It truly does feel like a second family for us with many strong relationships formed! I would highly recommend Superfish!

Family owned and run. Love that my 2 children are learning life saving skills that will carry them into adult hood by the best program I have found thus far.
My daughter is just 7 years of age and can swim all 4 strokes. Her technique is just beautiful to watch.
I am so glad that I chose Superfish as the swim school for my kids.
Would highly recommend. 5 starts all the way!

Poor communication!
I have sent three different emails asking for a price list and if they have multiple passes. I have never received a reply to any of them.
