57Went in twice today to purchase a bike, first time plenty of staff in the store however was ignored by everyone who walked by. Wanted to layby a bike, all good, got to the counter then told there would be an additional $20 charge for a bulky item and the $30 for bike assembly (even though we were happy with the display stock). Second time went in, counter was empty with the check out lady outside talking, easily a dozen customers in store and no one serving. Terrible customer service. 2 weeks before Christmas you would think there would be a little better service.
IGNORED BY STAFF.
Less than an hour ago I entered the Morayfield branch to purchase 2 large chairs as per website. Upon arrival and waiting at the checkout to request said items (10: 30, very quiet), I was totally ignored by the 2 female 'assistants' who seemed too busy chatting and arranging shoes in the adjacent department. Both made eye contact with me several times but did not acknowledged my existence. Moving to the aisle and clearly waiting for assistance, still nothing. Finally, and somewhat begrudgingly, from the shoe section, one of them did acknowledge me, only to point towards the chairs I sought. I said ok, great, I'll take 2 thanks. I was met by a blank expression as I assumed my position at the checkout. Enter the hero of the moment; a dark-haired male assistant from the other end of the shop, who provided proper customer service, asking my needs (at close range), picked them up and offered to take them to my car. He was polite, and helpful and professional. All's well that ends well.as the rudest of the female pair had to ring up my sale anyway! Evidently, her name is 'Caitlyn on lane 1'.
If this is how a 'VIP Member' is treated, heaven knows what befalls a non-member!
Peter Athey is a numpty, don't be like Peter. "Stuff-that-can-be-done-later jobs" is probably already assisting other customers like yourself, but I guess you're just one of those more important customers, hey Peter.

Usually slow at the checkouts but mostly tolerable. I don't think these guys understand what customer service is. When there's 10 people waiting in the checkout queue and one person serving and 2 or 3 other staff gormlessly wandering through the checkout on stock duty. You'd think they'd drop their stuff-that-can-be-done-later jobs and pitch in and serve. Or at least acknowledge the growing queue.
Most of the staff are very young so that's 100% bad training from management.
Brought a fishing rod first time using it
Using super light tackle the rod snapped in half and was told it had to be looked at by the manufacturer was told I would hear back by the end of the week. End of the week comes and still haven’t heard a thing I don’t see why if it’s well under a week old not a scratch on the thing and it’s snapped clean in half they need to have it looked at. Save your time and money go shop elsewhere for fishing equipment
Went into the store for the first time. We were surprised that all the staff we saw were young people. I would like to compliment whoever trained them, they all had excellent customer service. We were particularly impressed by the lovely young man who helped us carry a bulky fridge freezer to our car. When we realised it wouldn't fit, he then kindly removed it from the box so it would fit and then disposed of the box. Very impressed
Good store with wide range of outdoor gear. Usually great member deals. If you are after hiking shoes ask if Michael is around. Very friendly service, expert knowledge and no pressure. I was happy to find an excellent mid hiker from Zamberlan.
Good store with plenty of stock and helpful staff. Carpark is busy with multiple businesses on site and is on Morayfield Rd.
Great quality stock. Needs 1 more floor staff, poor fellar today was ran off his feet with requests.

Great store if you know what you want and dont need any help from staff, as they are far too busy being busy and avoiding customers to help.
First thing is this store is absolutely massive.they have a large variety if display items in store the store is xkean. And a store this size that's a achievement on its own they also give you a option of lay away with a percentage of cash up front. I only know this when I was with a friend wanting to buy a stack of rubber foam type floor matt's and after said all this he paid for them outright but he was thinking about putting them aside that is good to know for future reference.you can get lost in store.lol if you did you would have all the camping equipment for the night.so I hope this has helped out if so hit the thumbs up and follow for more reviews
Purchased a stand up paddle board for our daughter for xmas. Only to find the day we're going away camping, it does not come with a paddle! When i phoned the staff knew about t not coming with a paddle but no mention of it when Purchased. So a mad rush to then spend more $$$ on a paddle so it would be useful!
Incredible! This mob advertise like mad but when you go to buy it,
"OUT OF STOCK" I have struck this 4 times in past 3 weeks. I give up, I'll just stick with BCF. At least they don't advertise out of stock items constantly
To be honest it's been at least a year and half since I have visited my local Morayfield Anaconda store. WOW if you want to be amazed call in and check out a wall like 30 metres long top to bottom chock full of the best quality hards and softies jig heads tackle (rods n reels) all in one overstocked place. Staff are super helpful. And 100% COVID safe. Well done legends I'll be back️
Beware when purchasing products from Anaconda that if the product is faulty, they won’t refund. They make u wait until the company manufacture assess & deems a manufacturing fault. This is NOT Australian consumer law. I won’t be buying any products from anaconda again!
We bought ourselves some Gumboots today.
So we could go pick sunflowers at the flower farm.
I have to say Anaconda really has a great range of products. The staff are quite friendly and knowledgeable.
I must shout out the team work with MITCH, LIAM, JOSH AND JACK. These boys helped my husband and I with the purchase of our recliners. Amazing service with a laugh or two.

I wouldn't even give a 1 star unless i had to. I bought a garmin gps for a trip online and it was sent from here. On receiving it i found it had already been opened (damaged packaging and screen protector removed fingerprints on screen) i suspect it was a display modle or a return. I rang the store they said they would get back to me still waiting. I loged a customer care isuearfter 3weeks customer care got back to me they first thay said i could send it back and they would send a new one but i had already started using/ downloading maps. Then they said they could refund me $39. Absolutely discuted that this would happen and the coments on here are all bad steer well clear of this mob will not be recommending them to anyone
