Amin's Butcher and Grill reviews
61 The best butcher shop in all of Brisbane, Amin takes care of his business and oversees the entire operation himself. Also, the entire staff are very friendly and passionate about their work.
No other place I’d buy meat from, only Amin’s.
The takeaway is useless, have enjoyed buying from the butcher over the past few years but after the abuse recieved from staff and them talking about customers loudly will not be again.
Had the mixed platter for two. Did not disappoint. The chips are my absolute fav! So crispy and the seasoning is so good! The lamb was so juicy and tasty!
Stopped by here for a few snacks and the food and juice were lovely! The ladies were very sweet also, I would go out of my way to come here again to try more items:)
The portion is very large. The meat so soft and tender, very easy to cut. It is highly recommended to try this menu.
Falsely advertised products on display. When i informed the guy with the tattoo on his arm, he went and took the tag off the shelf and wouldn't honour the price listed. Not good for business.
I wud call these guys Tugs. Asked for some lamb fat while i bought some meat. Guess what he charged me $11/kg for lamb fat Not going there again.
This is the best place and the staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. The meat tasting platter is a must try and Today I picked my steak from the butcher and getting it prepped. You can also BYO meats. Love it!
40 mins for 2 burgers.
Told original wait was 20mins then had to come back again another 20mins later because they weren’t ready. Absolutely ridiculous.
8.30 pm looking for dessert after a dinner nearby on 03/06/2023. Appreciated that they were open.
The price point is high for what is offered, but this is probably more a sign of rising cost everywhere.
The median rating is more towards staff knowledge, or lack of, about their dessert products.
Both the ladies working were lovely. They certainly tried, but like anyone - you don’t know what you don’t know.
The questions we had was on a certain ingredient - coconut - in the cake. They really struggled with this. Language barriers aside, may I suggest that Amin’s have an ingredient listing available for the desserts they sell so it can be easily referred to by staff. I imagine as these desserts are bought from third party bakeries etc, this should be easily available. Or should be sourced.
Food intolerances are not a new thing, and you can’t afford/should not sell anything where you can’t advise a customer what’s in it. Luckily, for this visit, the coconut was a dislike and not an allergy, so we took a chance.
Would only revisit again if they advised that they had an ingredient listing on hand as I usually have GF and DF ppl in my group.
Beautiful steak, done perfectly by Chef Shaun. Took good care of us as this was our first time. We selected the cut of meat at the butcher next door, handed it over to Chef Shaun, and then.a wonderful dinner. Loved it.
Seen many times on FB's pop-up on Amin's Butcher & Grill. Their fresh Angus or Wagyu beef displayed on the chiller simply made me salivate as a meat eater. But it's too far up north where we are to West End, Brisbane.
BUT, today we are here at Vulture Street visiting friends, and we thought we would give Amin's a try.
Holy Cow! Chef Shaun's Medium Rare grill is perfect. Rarely do I get the Medium Rare Grill that I like and the marbling wagyu piece that we picked up from the chiller is amazingly juicy and full of flavour.
Amin's will be our go-to grilled steak at Vulture Street from now.
I’m a local resident and have been to this butcher several times. I love the convenience but I’m conflicted about some of their less than honest practices.
Most times the meat selected is generally fresh. Be careful as they add older meat stock sitting under displayed items. At least twice I was given chicken that was smelly and off. I’ve stopped buying chicken from this butcher.
Other occasions I’ve given t-bone and rib fillet steak sitting under displayed steak. When I’ve questioned the quality and age of steak the staff spin you elaborate stories about freshness of the meat they are pushing on you.
It has happened too many times. They do not value customers and it is very much a butcher whose business model is to not put meat on sale but swap your preferences for new stock with older stock. This dishonest practice is obvious and happened too many times now they’ve lost a local customer.
Food tastes good but…
No waitress to dedicate seating or greet you nor to take your order at the table nor bringing you table water (instead asking you to get it yourself)
Bill needs to be paid before you sit down
Waiting time excessive; 45 min +
Starters and main course served together
Service wise it felt like a kebab shop and thus at this price point a let down
Saw other customers leave the shop since nobody attended to them even at the counter
Noticed several delivery drivers complaining equally about the excessive waiting time
Guests even asking when it’s best to come to avoid the wait time
Food was good; steak being sliced already in the kitchen did make it a bit more dry
Menu on the wall VS QR Code menu differs
Kitchen staff was lovely; counter staff / waiters were pretty demotivated
Would I come again? Unfortunately not despite the food being tasty
Came here twice with friends during our visit to Brisbane. The lamb chops were so good and fatty. The burger is also awesome. We went to the butcher and got some sausages and I've had many halal sausages all over the world and this is the best. Hands down, the best.
Anyway, its a small seating area so do try to make a reservation. The wait is not too long for take-aways either. It's totally worth it.
Just popped in to get a bone for the dog, and they gifted me a whole bag free of charge. A very generous gesture - thank you so much!
Heard them expertly and passionately describing their meats to another customer while I was waiting, and had a little peruse around the shop which is full of delicious looking specialty goods.
Will definitely be back for more bones for the dog, and next time something for me too. Thanks again!
Amin's $20 Tuesday steak, chips, & salad meal offer is a tasty deal:
- Great quality steak (usually $40+), cooked to one's liking, with a delicious sauce (tested choices: mushroom; pepper)
- Simple side salad served fresh, celebrating capsicum, with a light vinaigrette
- French fries
Very delicious food. Catered for all our requirements as our son had allergies. Strongly recommend. Customer service provided by latisha was awesome. She is perfect face for the company and should promoted to manager as shehas heaps of experience with dealing with customersthe.a with

Very nice place and the food is delicious. Also the stall is verrrry friendly. But my family did not like the burgers because the bread was burnt but the patties were great.
