Allenby Dance Studio

My daughter begged me to do ballet. We did 2 years at Allenby and she says she no longer wants to do dancing. The way Amanda speaks to the parents (if you’re not part of the dance posse) is disgusting. I would run out of room to write all the times she was rude, rolled her eyes, or made an unnecessary comment about me or my child. The expense is phenomenal also. I’m not sure what they are paying for since the parents volunteer their time, bring plates of food for concerts, recitals etc, pay for a usb to see your child’s dance, pay for tickets to watch your child perform, costumes, term fees and even a cost for your child to be assessed and move to the next level, which I wouldn’t mind paying if you felt your time and money was appreciated. I have never been so disappointed and felt so much like myself or my daughter didn’t deserve to be a part of this studio, then at any other establishment I’ve been to. Also four of the ‘good reviews’ on here are from staff and the owner.

My daughter absolutely loves dancing here. The staff are amazing and the office team professional. Highly recommend them. They've had her for four years now.

Allenby is honestly the best dance school. My daughter was struggling so much with confidence and the difference the past year has made is honestly incredible. Any negative comments are likely disgruntled parents or people who are clearly missing what this dance school truly gives to its community. My daughter has honestly improved so much but more so since doing private lessons. All teachers at allenby are so talented and dedicated to their students. Highly recommend.

Fantastic family centred dance studio. Professional, fully qualified teachers. They’ve been in the Redlands for 31 years and have an excellent reputation. You can choose fun and fitness classes or performance opportunities and exams. My girls have danced with Allenby for 12 years and they love it.

This place needs to dial it the hell down. I do appreciate that they are trying and there is definitely some dance talent there but seriously, your business is based around kids - if you can’t work with kids, don’t. Very poor communication, and teachers seem to think it is ok to berate parents and make children wear fake eyelashes…. Seriously it should just be about dancing and fun - time to realign.

We had a high expectation from Allenby, ended up disappointed. A better communication and honesty could have made a difference.
