Disgusted with how I was spoken to today while waiting to ask about helicopter rides in the area. I was standing just waiting for the staff member to finish talking to some other people, when she looked at me and said 'are you ok or are you just eves dropping'. Like seriously, is that really how you speak to people.

This is a beautiful little retail shop, lots of really lovely summer wear here to browse through and a nice range of souvenirs and other bits and pieces. Ladies were also lovely to chat to.

Went here to hire a bike. The friendly lady took all the time to walk me through the map and gave me good recommendations on where to go, what to see and where to eat.

Wonderful service. We came running in just before they closed. Lisa was more than accommodating, taking time to help us and assuring us that she can stay until we have purchased all we needed and not to rush. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some very useful tips for our tour the next day. Highly recommend.

Went in for a browse and a couple of small souvenirs. The lady gave us a map with the local attractions and walks on it and was very helpful in pointing out good walking trails

The staff here are dedicated, knowledgeable and are so helpful. Each time that I have dealt with the staff they have bent over backwards to assist and to make the trips memorable. This is the place to come for all the local knowledge and ideas in what to do.

A visit to the Discover 1770 Holiday Shop is a must as soon as you arrive in the region. Excellent & highly recommend. A special thank you to Lisa.

My brother and I had a great experiencie with 1770 Holiday Shop. The staff was very friendly and helpful, suggesting us activities and doing work after hours to help plan our holidays. My daughter & I had the best day! The weather was so perfect. I didn't know what to expect but the Larc was better than I imagined. I was quite nervous going up the pathway to the lighthouse, the Skipper was very competent in driving us up safely. The history of the Lighthouse was very informative I really liked the house and all the interesting information & how well it is maintained. Morning tea and lunch was very yummy the ANZAC biscuits & Billy tea were really great. I was happy that I attemped sandboarding only did the small hill it was such fun. I would have really liked to have gone for a swim but the tide was out. The commentary of the birds, trees & creeks by the host was quite informative & somewhat humorous I will definitely recommend the Larc to my family & friends. Thank you for the memories I will share with my daughter

Lisa went above and beyond to get us on a tour to lady Musgrave island on the day we wanted. She assisted us in finding convenient accommodation too. Highly recommend this shop for local advice, friendly service and anything you need to enjoy your time in the sun (hats, sunnies, rashies.)

We had the best holiday in 1770 thanks to Lisa and her fantastic recommendations. She was honest and upfront and really easy to chat to. Lisa booked us on to the Lady Elliot Island day trip that included an unbelievable plane ride across to the island over Lady Musgrave and incredible snorkelling on the reef. Just amazing.

I cannot recommend Kevin at travel bugs highly enough, everything from my initial enquiry, to helping suggest some of the best trips I have ever done, the over night trip on SV Whitehaven was certainly a highlight of my trip! All my communication was done through email as I was in England at the time but it was a pleasure to deal with Kevin, he knew exactly the type of trips I was looking for and catering for a group with an age range of 22-57 was always going to be a challenge but the trips Kevin suggested were perfect and enjoyable for everyone! Always helpful and knowledge with anything and everything I need to know and need answered, made planning easy and straight forward from options to budget, timing and with genuine advice!

Lovely place, plenty of sun and shade, friendly staff and visitors. Clean tidy.

Kevin was fantastic and gave us so much local knowledge and ideas of what to do and where to go. He made bookings for us and we had an excellent time. I highly recommend you visit this information centre to book your tours and buy your souvenirs.

Kevin gave us good and relevant information about the best spots to snorkel around the reef. You can tell he does his job from the heart! He advised us two tours for whitsundays and great barrier reef that will meet our expectations AND fit our budget as backpackers. Thanks Kevin!
