Our first night in Darwin we had dinner here, it was so good we took 4 other people with us for dinner. They did not disappoint, the food, service and atmosphere was fabulous.

Arrived by push bike to have lunch. Was 45 mins early. Asked if we could chain bike to fence beside table we intended eating at. The answer was 'NO'. We were meeting friends. They missed out on selling 4 meals and drinks. So went to Shenanigans who had no problems with bikes

Highly recommended this bar.great atmosphere. Staff and management have personalities unlike there neighbours monsoons (don't enter that place)

We ate a 200g steak from the grill with 2 side dishes and a sauce for $ 25 each. We asked medium rare and it came perfectly cooked to our taste. It was very tender and delicious. We came back the following day cause the portions are big and the steak very good for a decent price. The atmosphere was rather quiet, live music on some nights or TV sport. The staff is friendly. The tables are clean. The smoking area is nearer the bar and the music. We liked it.

Lunch specials at 14.50 with a free drink, and the food was good. Very good and sociable staff. Recommended

Great place and the lunch menu is hard to beat, staff are great and very helpful this has been our go to place while in Darwin

Had a great lunch, 1kg of chicken wings in yummy Wisdom's own sauce and a well cooked slice of pan fried Bara.
Quiet day midweek.

I had the unfortunate experience of stumbling upon a wretched den known as the "wisdom Bar" during my recent travels, and I can confidently say it was a nightmarish encounter I will not soon forget. The establishment presented itself as a haven for weary backpackers seeking refuge, but instead, it turned out to be a breeding ground for rudeness, arrogance, and deceit.

My troubles began when I noticed a seemingly tempting offer advertised outside the bar: $15 for a refreshing Paloma cocktail. Eager to indulge in a well-deserved treat after a long day of exploring, my friends and I eagerly ventured inside. Little did we know, we were unwittingly stepping into a trap that would extract every last penny from our wallets.

As we sat down, our spirits were quickly dampened by the condescending attitude of the bar staff. Arrogance oozed from their every pore, as if they believed they were bestowing upon us the honor of their presence. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not even a blip on their radar.

But the true horror awaited when we received our bill. To our disbelief, the Palomas we had ordered were listed at a shocking price that far exceeded the advertised amount. The audacity! We had fallen victim to their cunning trickery, and they shamelessly overcharged us without the slightest hint of remorse.

As we confronted the staff, hoping for some form of redemption or explanation, we were met with a wall of arrogance and smugness. They dismissed our concerns with a disdainful wave of the hand, as if we were mere insects beneath their superior gaze. It was an insult to our intelligence and a disgrace to the principles of fairness and honesty.

To add insult to injury, the atrocious experience didn't end there. We decided to brave the dining area, hoping that at least the food would provide some semblance of redemption. Alas, we were sorely mistaken. The dishes that arrived were nothing short of disappointing and lackluster. The taste was as bland as the personalities of the bar staff, and we left the establishment with a bitter aftertaste that lingered long after the meal was over.

In the end, this despicable den of arrogance and deceit cost us not only our hard-earned money but also our faith in the hospitality industry. The wisdom Bar may lure unsuspecting travelers with false promises and cheap gimmicks, but beneath its facade lies a cesspool of contempt and dishonesty. My advice? Steer clear of this wretched establishment unless you wish to endure a night of frustration, disappointment, and financial exploitation. Your sanity and wallet will thank you.

Great size meals and good prices with some great lunch deals. So good I went for lunch and dinner same day. The guy at the bar said “we do the basics very well” and he was right!

Seriously good ‘Wisdom Burger’! Fries were good too. Decor is standard sports bar vibes but the burgers are top notch.

Passing by, dropped in, highly recommend you do the same. The breeze out the front was good, staff were very friendly, and the Pizza went down a treat. Here for a week, will be heading back for sure.

This has to be some of the best food I’ve ever eaten and so reasonably priced. Best steak without a doubt. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Can’t recommend highly enough. We’re from Melbourne and recently purchased a $65 steak somewhere, the steak at Wisdom was far better. Do yourself a favour and have a meal here.

Beer was cold but food was not good.schezwan squid was so salty it was unedible. Pizza was very ordinary. Lay off the salt in the kitchen and show some love for producing good food.

Had a good night here. Not many people though. Guy on guitar was pretty good.

Not a bad venue, food OK, but bar service really bad, very slow, even though 3 staff on at the time, took ages to get served, Friday night and only 50% full, had meal and went elsewhere for drinks.

Went here on a Saturday night for a boogy and this place did not disappoint. Live music until 10 then a DJ who knew the right songs to play. Great atmosphere.

Horrible experience, staff had unreasonable attitude. Required meals not available. Left without ordering.

My partner and i had a meal today. Was a perfect combination of ingredients in the steak sanga in the $15 lunch.
The ceasar however.
Was undoubtedly the BEST ceasar i have tried to date from around Australia. Perfectly seasoned dish, egg was still runny and the right amount of dressing even after i asked for extra.
Great meals in all. Service i would say could be better however as the bar tender didnt seem happy or inviting when we first walked in. But that wouldnt deter us from returning.
