Wildlands Wetlands Safari Cruises

We were lucky enough to get on the last tour for 2023 on Monday and it certainly didn't disappoint. Jade was a wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide. Her bird knowledge was absolutely amazing. She had a keen eye and pointed out so many birds and crocodiles we would've missed. The billabong itself was stunning and the birdlife was truly amazing, we were able to get up so close to everything and snap some beautiful photos. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to make some wonderful Darwin memories. Looking forward to booking this cruise again after the wet season. Thanks again to Jade for making it a great morning.

Unreal experience getting to see a heap of wildlife up close in the wild. Heap of bird life present during our cruise, along with some active salties leading up to sunset. Impressive how close you can get, and with such a small group size the guide really personalised our trip.

Such a brilliant cruise, 1.5h in the morning. Saw so many crocodiles and birds right up close. Had plenty of room on the boat and Jake the guide couldn’t have been better

Exhilarating airboat adventure through the Billabong. Spotting fresh and salt water crocodiles varieties of bird species fish and turtles and beautiful lotus lillies. Highly recommended with great guides Jake and Riley

Jake and Riley were outstanding guides and the Airboat was so much fun. We learnt a lot about the bird species, crocodiles and water lilies of the Billabong. Definitely a highlight.

If you want to see the wetlands, this is the best. Well worth it Great experience and highly recommended.

Highly recommend. Such a cool way to visit the wetlands, so smooth and exciting at the same time. Saw Salties and Freshies, Jabirus, Geese etc, even a wild pig. Beautiful landscape.

Jake gave us the most incredible tour this afternoon - he was so knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. We really appreciate him taking the time to explain many fascinating details about the billabong ecosystem and its residents. We saw and learnt so much and won’t forget the experience! Thanks again, 11/10 recommend.

Awesome experience and a great fun way to see all the sights.got us right up close to plenty of crocs and I mean not much more than a couple of metered from the boat. Great guide, a real character with great stories. A must do way so see the billabongs.

The airboat tour was the highlight of our Darwin adventure.
Our tour guide was very informative, we got to try, touch and feel parts of the wetlands and see an abundance of wildlife including freshwater and saltwater crocodiles. Our family had a fantastic time and highly recommend.

We had an amazing time exploring the wetlands with Josh and Jake today. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable - a must do when you visit the Northern Territory. Perfect mix of exhilaration and nature at its finest

This is one of the best tours I have done in ages. Josh was a great tour leader and shared his knowledge and obvious passion for the wetlands. We saw so many animals, birds, flowers and more. I thoroughly recommend this tour and operator

The Airboat Wetlands Safari yesterday was one of the best tours we’ve EVER been on! We saw heaps of crocs, (up close), amazing bird life, and flora. The mode of transport by airboat through the wetlands was magic!
Joshua, our airboat tour driver, was amazing…. Fabulous, informative, competent, and clearly loving his work.
Would do it again in a heart beat, (& if ever we return to the Top End), and we shall definitely be recommending it to all our family and friends. Worth every penny.

Fabulous experience. This was a totally different experience being able to see the wetlands from this perspective. Very different experience to a boat ride. Highly recommended.

Great tour around the wetlands despite the limited water - still fascinating. Chase was very informative. We saw some wildlife, including a couple of crocs. Happy 50th year Chase!

Had a fantastic tour, Josh was so friendly, relaxed and his personal touch was just terrific. I left my hat on the boat (sentimental value) so I rang the next day to enquire if the hat was still on the boat. They contacted me later that day confirming they'd found it and they posted it to my Melbourne address, free of charge! They're #1 in my book

In early April 2019 Mandy and I went on the Airboat Safari and the 1.5hr Safari Cruise at Wildlands Wetlands. Both were awesome and we would highly recommend them. Chase and Josh gave us a thrilling ride on the airboat as we spotted crocodiles and learnt about the amazing flora and bird life. We then went on the safari cruise where Connie gave us a very exciting trip with her tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm for the wetlands and bird life. With Jake back at base camp ensuring everything went smoothly, we had easily the best 2 tours of the 7 we had on our holiday. A fantastic, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable team.
