Walpa Gorge reviews
38 1. Usually, it is a tour that includes Uluru. We did a hop on hop off tour, which takes you down to the viewpoint at sunrise time and takes you back to the resort after an hour or three hour walk. It was good value for money
2. The view of Uluru at sunrise was fantastic.
3. I walked through Walpa Gorge. It lasted a little less than an hour. We went right after sunrise, so it wasn't that hot. I was overwhelmed by how cool it looked. ^^
4. There are so many flies that a fly net is a must.
Great scenery with lots of things to see. Pathway to gorge a bit rough and one has to be careful where you put your feet. It was very windy as we walked up the gorge. But worth the walk.
Magic place stunningly beautiful A lot of people come and go all year round.to see the big red rock central australia
Stunning landscape, uneven rocky track, slight uphill but nothing strenuous. Good to come here in the winter as in summer can get extremely hot. Well worth the drive out from Yulara
Short but beautiful walk. You can get up close to the walls to really appreciate high high they are. The walls also provide some lovely shade from the sun which can get hot even in winter. I love the seats dotted along the walk that allow you to sit back and appreciate the gorge further. The walk itself isn't too bad. There are some loose rocks and you do need to watch where you are walking but not too difficult. The incline is only gentle but could be considered fairly long.
A windy valley. The distant scenery that can be seen from time to time makes you realize the size of Australia. Bring water.
This is a stunning walk leading to a must see viewing platform so make sure that you go to the end and just absorb the peace and serenity. It's a gradual uphill climb but not strenuous approximately one hour's walk from the car park. The path is very rocky and uneven so good walking shoes are a must. There is a very small stream to cross and seats scattered along the walk if a rest spot is needed along the way. We went in May at sunrise so it was very cold and can be windy so make sure you rug up well. The walk was fun and is highly recommended.
The Walpa Gorge is also stunning. Make sure you go all the way to the end and enjoy the serenity. Highly recommend this walk.
Great experience we started early, found the going good, just take it easy and watch your step which is hard to do when looking up so much. If you need the toilet make sure you use the one at the sun viewing area first or afterwards. Follow us Sweet-Az RV'n on youtube
An amazing place the colours of the rocks were brilliant and huge I had no idea how large they are.
Difficult to walk because of the path was covered with loose large stones the entire way. We didn't see any rangers there, but they really need to work on that path. Not worth a twisted ankle.
A place to visit yes spectacular Ayers Rock a tree days National Park ticket will cost $ 79 dollars that you can roam into So many nice gorges & pecks
The walk was relatively easy and can be done within 40-45 mins. We started early morning and got few very cool shots.
Perfect place for a switch off and early walk. Serenity submission! Breathtaking tonal textures of rocks!
A very special place. Beware of dehydration risks. Take plenty of water and time your walk to forecast temperature. Check with the Parks Forecast. Pay respect to the First Peoples.
An hour's walk to the end and back. Some rough spots but not difficult. Some interesting rock formations along the way.
There are some board walks over some gutters and rough spots. All good Jim
This hike is only a short one which is 2.7 km, honestly if you missed this one that is fine as it is not so exciting like the other hikes around but if love to walk or want a very small hike for the family then go for it!

Great environment brilliant scenery only problem can't get to the final part of gorge at the moment due to track work.
This place is a bonus when you travel to Ayer Rock. We never planned travelling here initially, but when you arrive we found more fun here than Ayer Rock.
A short walk from the Kata Tjuta viewing area carpark is Walpa Gorge. Its a attractive gap between two rocks, and is well worth the look.
