Tjuwaliyn (Douglas) Hot Springs Park reviews
11Good place to camp during the dry season. If you are not from NT remember to buy your park pass prior to going.
Love this place i always go here with my family and friend so nice and warm and will have some life long memories
Soaking in the hot springs. Downright scalding upstream at the source but much more comfortable downstream. Water getting a little shallow in the dry season - not enough to keep the toilets and showers running.
Very good.we had to walk 200 metres as the campground was closed. This meant it had no other people
Went to the head of the springs in 1968 when no fence eas there to keep all the people out with a sine saying 20000 dollars fine if u go in to the most beautiful springs i have ever seen i think this should be open to all not selected few?
Holy Cow. HOT HOT HOT Springs. Great place. Found an area that was nice and cool to enjoy a swim. Recommend going.
Clearly people haven't let the Rangers know that the toilets are not getting water. I know it's essentially gravity fed. But it's stuffed. Ha
Loved it. Great depth for kids to swim in and campsite was pretty quiet despite being absolutely full. Not too many young yahoos like you get at the ones closer to town.
Just a tip save your dish washing water in a bucket to flush the toilet. Sometimes there's not enough water. Also take plenty drinking water as the water there is only able to be used for washing not drinking unless boiled.
Not as flashy as Litchfield, but great family spot, quiet and lots of shallow sandy water great for little kids.
Plenty of camping and patking spaces. Area was clean and tidy. Thermal pools were hotter than expected
It has 2 rivers, One is freezing, the other is boiling hot, it is just spectacular when you set right where they intersect
In my experience this is where a lot of old retirees & Familys go to relax
Toilets and showers are upgraded as well by the way
The only downside I can think of is the water is not deep, Depending on the rainfall that year, the water may reach your shoulders while sitting down, other years it may be lower than your waist sitting down
Either way people just love digging holes in the sand and lying in there while the river washes your stress away
