Threeways Roadhouse

We stopped here on our tour of Australia. The Roadhouse has everything you need. We met the manager and it turned out that she was also from Berlin. She even lived on the same street as us. We spent another great evening with her. Can only recommend the Roadhouse.

We can say only positive things about our stay here. Having a problem with our rental car we met a very helpful stuff there at the petrol station, who first looked at the matter themselves (repairs were not possible there) and then referred us to an nearby workshop including a call to the workshop describing the problem. Stayed 1 night powered campsite for $29. Good value for money, campgrounds in Tennant Creek we’re $40+
Didn’t use the restaurant but looked busy, the bar was suitable priced for the location, mostly stubbies but GN on tap.
Facilities at campground were okay, good shower pressure but wasn’t the cleanest and hand soap was empty in the gents.
Had plenty of space for powered and non-powered.
Overall good stay, close to Tennant creek, next to the highway to go to QLD (check road closures for bushfires) and ideal halfway point between Darwin and Red Centre.

When booking a room by phone the fella I spoke to put me on hold and asked his superior who quoted $180 for 2 adults and 2 children, when arrived later that day they wanted $200, the lady serving me wouldn't budge, saying the fella who answered was inexperienced even though he put me on hold while he asked someone. I went and had a beer and came back and asked for the manager who agreed to 180. The room looked clean but I'm not sure about the stain on the bed sheet right where my crutch would be. The dual tap in the bathroom hand basin was that loose it was flopping all over the place making it basically unusable until I reached under and tightened it, it can't get that loose overnight and was impossible for last cleaner not to notice. Only a qtr of a roll of dunny paper with no spare roll. No teaspoon to use for the coffee and tea supplied. The bottom corner of the sliding door flyscreen had a hole big enough to pass a shoe through which had come undone, I also fixed that by pushing the rubber back in with a screwdriver to stop all the bugs. Only 2 bed sheets on beds with air con having no heat option was the coldest night I had on my 3 week holiday from Adelaide to Darwin and back, and I don't get cold easy. By far the worst accommodation for money on whole holiday and the only one I made a complaint about as I never review accommodation.

Nice roadhouse food, clean amenities, well stocked souvenirs & essentials. Home-made sausage rolls are very nice.

Just drove 600 kilometres to get here only be told I can't buy a 6 pack of cold beer from a licensed premises on Sunday. The biggest mistake was booking a powered site before realising this. We were going to buy dinner and fill the motorhome and jerry cans before we left but will now be doing that at tennant creek in the morning. Really bad business!

Staff are exceptional at being useless and cannot even hide their drinking habits. Accommodation is rank roach stench infested disgrace. Food is not food as overflowing bins indicate. Prices for anything are a joke. Pet friendly is total lie as you'll find out in middle of night with a swarm of scared staff only brave to knock with police back up. Yeah this place is 3-Ways with a million ways to annoy the hell out of you. Save yourself the horrors carry extra fuel and keep driving stay clear of this jaded patch.

Didn’t stay but looked ok. Road house has good variety of essentials, it getting dearer but it’s getting more remote

Our car broke down a couple of hours away from Three Ways Roadhouse. The RAA organised Three Ways to rescue us. Within 2 and a half hours a tow truck arrived to put our car on and another car came to tow our van. They have a caravan park out the back so we have been staying here while we try to get our car fixed. The help and kindness of all the staff here has been above and beyond. They have eased the burden a little for us as we navigate our next move. We couldn’t have been in better hands. There is a great energy here and it’s very peaceful in the caravan park. Nice sites and a lovely cold swimming pool. 11 out of 10 in my opinion.

This is a service station, caravan park, bar and takeaway place. We had a night here a couple of years ago, this time it was only for fuel, coffee and a freshly baked muffin.
It's situated on the corner of the Stuart and Barkly's Hwy.

Worth the trip for the bangers and mash. Someone has to explain how us Aussies like our toast.

Stayed here the night of 10th January 23. Paid $140 for our room. We were woken at 3.30 am by bugs crawling all over us. We were gone by 4.30 am. I do have a video but can't find where to send it. Sorry, but we will not be back.

On arrival our room was double booked along with three other people.
They offered us a room much smaller for the same price.
Room was dirty such as linen, towels floors.
We were treated poorly by management. Management stated that if we didn’t want the smaller room that they would give a refund however we had no where else to go so unfortunately being late we had to except their stuff up and except their terms.
DO NOT STAY AT 3WAYS ROADHOUSE.
Over price dirty dog boxes.

Stopped in for fuel and a quick feed.
Staff were friendly and veggie burger and chips were tasty.
Just showing its age outside.

Absolutely disgusting! Sheets & pillows stained. Shower not working. Floor dirty. TV remote in pieces. A/C remote broken. Incompetent staff can’t even get a 2 drink order at the bar sorted. Save your money and proceed to Tennant Creek or Barclays Homesteads! Will never stay or recommend.

Will never stay there again, disgraceful rooms, woke up in the middle of the night to a bed full of bed bugs, bites all over us, ended up sleeping in the car, owners need to do some serious renovations and but some new mattresses and linen.
Next door had dogs in the non dog friendly rooms, when they are asked if they should be in the dog friendly rooms the staff member replied nah it will be fine.
We did get our money back but are still suffering from the after effects. Avoid this place and stay at Devils Marbels Hotel

Absolutely disgusting thekiwi woman that worked there was a complete A Hole she tried to charge us an extra 10% on top of the bowser price of the fuel. She also had a dog in the kitchen while preparing the food and Inbetween patting it. Will never go ther again you would be by far better off stopping at Tennant Creek

DO NOT BOOK HERE. Dodgey cabins, I booked the budget cabin ($145). Aircon was stuffed, HOT & dirty inside. Ugly units. They were doing construction right outside our cabin so there was an effort finding our room number and where to park my car. Asked for refund, couldn’t do. Would rather walk away with loss of money than stay there the night. Pushed it out to Barkley Homestead which is 10x better & more professional. Refuel there and keep cruising along, wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. Wouldn’t even let my dog stay there the night- 12th Dec 2022

They got us to park by the pool. At least one staff member decided after the bar closed at 1230am decided to go for a swim with 2 guys. Mad a lot of noise, had music playing as well. A lot of people camped there were travelling long distances today. If there English sounding girl dose this quite often it would be great to get everyone camping to go to another area.

Has everything you need, I was there in the evening and the service at the counter was pretty slow.we had to wait for 15 mins to pay at the counter.the toilets were clean and the prices were okay.
