The Rock Bar

Karaoke night ruined by the MC’s foul attitude. Hopefully he isn’t the regular person running it, or he was having a bad night. Bar staff were lovely. But after observing and experiencing the way the man running karaoke spoke to people, I won’t be rushing back. Better places to visit in Alice on a Friday night.

Not a bad spot for a drink on the weekends. Can get a bit crowded after 10pm. It's one of the local nightclubs

I went to happy hour and had a hilarious moment
Me- excuse me how long is your happy hour?
Bar tender- I want you to repeat that back to yourself and see if you find the answer.
Me- Humm interesting, in America lots of places have happy hour's that run two hours. I just wanted to see if you had the same.
B T- Well were not in America are we.
Me- Yeah but I just came from Sydney and their were a few bars in the city that had multiple hour Happy hours.
B T- Well were not in Sydney are we.
Me- Good point but you can see how that might make me think it would happen in few cities in Australia.
B T- Yes, I see. But you would be wrong, wouldn't you (looks at watch) Happy hour over. Would you like a full priced drink.
I laughed bought a full price beer and walked back to the table.

Meeting the owner was amazing he really calmed my nerves about going out in Alice Springs as he said if anything happens there's so many of them that help out and work together to keep the bar safe
The toliets were clean.the outdoor bar was lovely and it's so cool to dance under the stars.the indoor bar was great with super friendly bar staff.
The music was popping.
The only recommendation I have is that they have two different types of DJ as the indoor section and the outdoor section very much sounded the same.

I have a wonderful safe time and would recommend all people to spend the night there and no switch between bars as it's safer to do so.

The rock bar DJ was fantastic and fabulous. I would recommend to visit on a Saturday night and Friday nights. Great service at the bar and door securities.

We went to the Rock Bar after our “The Rock Uluru-Tour” as a group. They were having “Drag-Bingo” that night which was a lot of fun (the host was very entertaining and funny). The food was ok. What bothered me tho was that people who won bingo got a 50$ bar tab as a prize and the way the bar staff was dealing with it seemed dodgy. One of the winners ordered 2 alcoholic drinks and 1 water. When she went to get her next drink, they charged her. After a while, she decided to bring it up to them and without even checking her tab they were like “ohhh, it wasn’t you who ordered the big carafe, well in that case you still have over 30$ left on your tab. ” When she asked for a refund of the money they charged her, they told her they’d have to speak to the manager first who wasn’t there at the time and gave her a drink for free instead (which she would have gotten anyway). 2 other people told me similar things had happened to them. So, just make sure to keep track of your orders and don’t be shy to bring it up when it doesn’t feel right. Ask how much you have left on your tab before ordering more drinks.

Also, some young indigenous girls came running into the bar twice. While I understand that they aren’t allowed in there and were doing it for fun, one of them was pushed out of the door quite harshly. I personally don’t think that was a good way to deal with the situation.

They provide a wild variety of burgers, each burger served with chips, if you want to try a special one, you can experience the kangaroo, emu, camel burgers here. When it is close to the midnight, you can enjoy music and dance for a crazy night.

Seemed like a nice enough place until they thought one person in our party had had enough for completely arbitrary reasons. Then we had a bunch of locals manage our exit from the premises. I’d definitely avoid this place if you are looking for an enjoyable night out in Alice.

After an amazing 3-day tour, coming back with a tight group of new friends and getting loose on the dance floor at the famous ROCK BAR was the perfect way to end one of the best experiences of my life. Great food (value $$) great cocktails (also value!) great live music (free!), chill outdoor vibes, and the coolest most hilarious and yet totally professional staff that are always up for a quick chat. One of the best pubs you'll ever find! Thanks Rock Tour and Rock Bar!

We had lunch here yesterday and although the meals were nice and very large serves the bar manager who was sitting at the counter swearing every second word made the place a tad off putting! I don’t have a problem with a swear word or two but when it’s every second word at 20 thousand decibels in a enclosed environment it gets a bit much and sounds super tacky!

Would recommend meals and maybe sitting out the back so you don’t have to listen to her!

Beautiful spot for a glass of beer. Affordable prices and perfect size portioned meals. Captivating service and a gorgeous, relaxed surroundings.

Very unprofessional security service, so biased, so no good for business n my friends n I are business owners n we will not waste our time n money there ever again.

Had an awesome night here! I ordered the kangaroo fillet and it was DELICIOUS, absolutely superb. The cocktail I ordered was also great and the live music just made it even better. Would highly recommend this place to dine in Alice!

Good place for socialising. Full of happy backpackers. Only issue was the floor was so sticky my shoes were being pulled off my feet. Side not casino has no nightclub anymore.

Dani was the best bartender I have ever had. Was kind to all the customers and pour great drinks. Best service ever by her. 10/10 would recommend going

Got a food poisoning there after eating quesadillas. Maybe I just had bad luck, but I can't recommend the place.

Always have great consistent meals here. Staff really friendly. Cozy beer garden outside. Air conditioned tables inside. Really nice atmosphere.

Friendly service great food steak resumally priced and cooked your way and tender. Service started with what type of beer do you like followed by a few samples. Much better then BoJanjles next door which had poor not interested type of service with over inflated prices on standard beers. This place is worth finding.

It's a happening place if you are on The Rock Tour as you will have a group to sit, chat and relax with. The menu is decent and food is OK. I tried kangaroo roast and mine ended up being half cooked and I couldnt eat. It was not good. Chicken was nice. They have a special of the day for 10bucks.

Refused to let me get my tab. So I left. Next day there was $300 charged on it. No explanation. Bank was useless in helping.

You owe me $300 plus interest.
