The Original Adelaide River Queen Jumping Crocodile Cruises reviews
74I think you tend to see all the pictures of crocs jumping 10 meters into the air whereas that's not the usual. ;-) Interesting experience though and worth doing.
This is diffently something to put on your list of adventures to do in Darwin. You get to see Crocodiles doing their thing and amazing birds, you won't get this awesome experience from a enclosure. The staff are amazing and Tammy feed those crocodiles with ease. Thank you for a awesome day out.
Was great loved it and the captain was excellent at his job very friendly it was all round a very happy friendly place loved it the Crocks all have names
A must do. Saw many crocodiles and fed quite a few. Felt very safe the whole time
Chose to go in the smaller boat which allows better viewing. Guide gave opportunities for both sides of the boat excellent viewing and photo opportunities.
I've lived in the Territory for over 40 years but recently moved to S. A. And over the years I've been on the jumping croc cruises a few times.
So when I got the opportunity to take my partner on one whilst on holidays, there was only one choice.
I've only ever been on the Adelaide river Queen before so I took this opportunity to go on the Pathfinder.
Wasn't disappointed, to be so close to the action was amazing, and the photos turned out spectacular.
My partner was in awe of the display and commented the she could watch them all day.
Well done for keeping the Original and the best Croc Cruises just that, the best.
Thanks for a great trip.
We loved this cruise. To see these awesome animals up close and launching most of their body out of the water, spectacular the commentary from our guide on the day was also memorable
Little bit of a mess around. Booked for 10am and received a confirmation email then a reminder this morning to be there 20 mins before for a 10am start. Drive out and am told there is not enough people for that cruise to run. Others around me turned away as the 11am (which I was rebooked onto) was full. Cruise itself was good, big crocs didnt come out but the littler ones were ok.
Tamara, our guide, was great. Saw heaps of crocs and at least 4 jumped for pretty spectacular photo opportunities.don't forget your camera!
Take the Pathfinder boat and you'll be inches away from huge jumping crocodiles. Really spectacular! The guide was very funny and informative, and it was a lot of fun. Just don't trust the website when it says you can just rock up - we rocked up for the 2pm to discover they'd randomly cancelled it that day, and we had to wait two hours for the next tour with literally nothing to do in between.
A sensational experience with a couple of exceptions:
- a safety brief that focused too heavily on humour and therefore was largely ignored (limbs outside boat, when to sit vs when to stand)
- people suck and can't follow rules (people standing when they should be sitting, as briefed, thus blocking the view for the rest of the people on the boat - this one left an overwhelmingly negative feeling on the tour as a whole)
- the tour guide showed no interest in crowd control (telling those who were standing that they should be sitting so everyone else could see) and also positioned the boat with crocs on the same side 4/5 times.
With these issues addressed, it would definitely be a 5 star experience.
We have driven past for years but with grandchildren in town this year we booked in. We enjoyed the trip and I think this is a ‘must do’ at least once.
Very good and Pat had a great personality and very informative with our group. We all really enjoyed the experience.
Didn't go on the big boat but it was a great experience and seeing the crocodiles jump was exciting. Worth the trip and money.
Absolutely loved this - our guide was very funny and the crocs were amazing. Would recommend this to everyone
