The Bean Tree Cafe reviews
49Good coffee food in natural friendly peaceful environment with misting for cool. Nice for families
Very relaxing venue, secluded from the General Public. Good for those who want to enjoy their meal in peace.
Just ate diner at this lovely cafe. The food was wonderful, and the setting just beautiful. Satay sticks, and goat curry were highlights.
The cafe at Olive Pink was very reasonable, the food portions were good, the avocado was good quality, and seemed to be a rare find across the region.
This facility being here really helps make Olive Pink an attraction you could stay at for a long time. That pairs well with the very relaxed approach to customer service which saw one person in my group waiting for a meal for the entire time that everyone else was eating.
Additionally when I ordered a to go coffee, I witnessed another customer who claimed she had been waiting for 40 minutes for a latte.
I wouldn’t have waited that long however I would go back to this place
I use to visit this cafe everytime I was on break in Alice (from community work) as I loved the outdoor atmosphere being surrounded by the beautiful gardens.the hill with spectacular views etc (that’s what I look for when I go to pick a cafe… rather then a cafe in the cbd). The food was also great. (as well as staff who cooked and served it) only ever ate breakfast or brunch here but heard dinner at the bean tree is a delight too! When I return to alice again I’ll be back for sure!
Went early on a Saturday morning. Only 1 other customer. Everything was lovely except for some mozzies.
Staff came out with mozzie spray for the other group woth a baby.
As a local, I appreciate all the efforts to keep this great cafe running. Prices are a little high for the food delivered. Heavy fur
New owners and it’s now open for dinner with an Indonesian menu on Friday and Saturday nights. I am guessing they have no chef, because I just had the worst gado-gado ever last night. Should not have been served up. Tasteless mush. Do not eat dinner here.
Very nice cafe set on the Botanic Gardens. Reasonable meals and prices, good service.
Nice walks in the gardens, usually can get parking.
Would recommend.
Despite glowing, consistent reviews online, I was shocked to encounter the most poorly cooked chicken burger I have ever tasted in my life.
The bun came out with chunks missing whilst the chicken fillet itself was undercooked to the point where I could see pink, uncooked flesh when sliced open.
The coleslaw had been made much earlier in the day as the entire batch was stained purple from the carrot with zero crunch to the vegetables. I ordered well before they closed early at 1: 30 so at $23, an absolute waste of money.
Coffee ok, service rude and dirty tables. Food expensive. Setting great. Why is everything run by Asians.
Wonderful location and atmosphere. Juice was excellent and breakfast included perfect poached eggs, spicy chorizo and yummy mushrooms
Great coffee, but on weekends there is a long wait. 1 hour for food and over 30 mins for a takeaway coffee. Seems they have way to many tables to keep up with the demand. Recommend going early. Or on a week day.
Loved the location, the food and the birds that helped themselves to anything left on plates and dishes sitting on tables.
Lively spot foot refreshment while taking in the gardens and walks. Will go back if I am I the gardens in the future.
Employees were very nice. Food was very good. What a good place to enjoy with firends or family!
Always a delight. The staff and service are amazing, the food even better. Sitting in the gardens of the Olive Pink Botanic Gardens is incredible. Lots of birds including a cheeky bower bird.
This cafe is a first rate coffee stop during the day but at night it is magically transformed into a Thai restaurant. I'll include the menu in photos but the chef went out of his way to feed this vegetarian an excellent dish to my unreasonable demands. A wonderful setting in the botanical garden in balmy evening. Thanks Chef.
Great spot right in the Olive Pink botanic gardens. Food was excellent - we had lunch and breakfast there - and service was warm and friendly (albeit a little haphazard). Highly recommend the Bean Tree
